And I heard you met somebody very special.

We did. Hot or hot. A very hot young lady. Yes. Yep. Yeah, we met the one and only luscious, lovely, Miss Piggy. She's got the curves. She's not afraid to embrace her curves. She's got those Paula Deen cheeks, you know.

I know you guys like backwards performing, so I was going to ask you the question at the end.

Actually, we hate backwards performing.

Well, I would think it would be. Truly backwards interviewing would be for you to give the answer and we try to figure out the question.

Because she was fat. Why did I love Miss Piggy so much? Mmm. There you go. There's a respectable question. Can't. Just trying to find a place called home.

Should we talk about odd souls?

I think we should. Probably ought to.

Who's the oddest of the band? First of all. I can tell.

Well, I, I will go ahead and say this record is certainly mostly based on this man right here. I, I'm the weirdest. I was a weird kid. I was raised in uh, in Southwest Missouri. And a lot of the record does hinge around both the guilt and the ambition and the innocence of the, of the young Middle American Christian teen. Like we tried to put ourselves in that brain a little bit.

You're also known to be very energetic on stage. Like I noticed in one of your new videos, you like to drum standing up.

Oh yeah. Yeah, it's great. Yeah, I drum like IP. He's red again. I don't know, I live red. I'm Yeah, it's There's that Christian embarrassment, that shame again. I'm feeling. I feel guilty about everything I've said in this whole interview. I'm going to go pray and repent about all of this.

Do you have this much fun when you're recording and and writing together?

The creative process is supposed to be enjoyable, inspiring. And you get an idea, you just go with it. And then when you've got uh, someone in there that just kind of rains on the parade too much and you're paying them.

Mhm.

Um, we just didn't want to have that on this record. So we got rid of that. It was just the three of us. You can do a little more for Jesus. I give you that passion. In, in regards to, to the way that we worked in the studio and the way that we worked at Paul's house. We turned Paul's house into a studio. So it was very comfortable in that regard. And uh

Where's the house? Is it in New Orleans?

New Orleans. Yeah.

Any favorite New Orleans like dishes?

Oh. Anything Thermidor. Just get it. If you see it on the menu and it's french fried Thermidor, apple pie Thermidor, it doesn't matter what it is, just get it. It'll be the best version of that you've ever had.

Okay. So Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, your songs appeared in

Yes.

Twilight. And Never Back Down.

Never Back Down. We got this. Transformer. Transformers and then also there's another one. Uh, The Stepfather.

The Stepfather. Sister of the Traveling Pants part two is pretty big. I like that genre.

Yeah. I think that's a great one. The girly.

I've not seen the film. You won't be hitting Breaking Dawn anytime soon. You don't seem like Breaking Dawn type boys.

No, we're more of the original first one. What is their name, what's the name of the first one? Twilight. Yeah, we keep it simple.

What is your favorite thing about traveling? I heard Japan. Have you been to Japan before?

So be our sixth trip. Actually.

So they love you over there.

They do. I think they think we're kind of like anime. I think that's why they like us. Some of them move in very, remember the Charlie Brown cartoons that are just two frames They dance. They have two moves. They They go from that. Yeah, I love that. I love that. And they're so respectful. They live each other's space. There's never any and they, they're, I've never felt so rooted for like they're on your side. We we recently got a, I got a letter in the mail where they someone did a uh rendition of all of us as cats playing our instruments. They turned us, they catified us, I guess.
