Welcome to Young Hollywood.
Kinsey here with Young Hollywood and we are taking you backstage with Miss Amy Lee of Evanescence.
To want you, what you want. Your world is ending.
What would you say is the craziest fan experience you've had?
Once, um, I had a fan ask for a piece of my hair for um, voodoo. And I said no and then he was like, okay, okay, well then take a picture with me. And I was like, okay. He put his arm around me. He went yoink and ran. That was pretty funny.
Bugs Bunny, nine-inch nails, that is your Zen. This is the thing about Twitter. It's available to you at all times. So you're just like, oh, I want to say some stupid thing and then it comes back to you in an interview on TV.
Yes. I was working out, Bugs Bunny nine-inch nails, tweeted it because I thought it was so weird. But it was worth saying something about.
What what have you been up to because we haven't seen you in quite some time. We've ached for you. I'm so excited that you're back.
We've spent a lot of the time actually working on the record. Um, at first I just needed to get away and kind of find myself again and and figure out what I wanted to do next. Um, I think you've I really believe anything creative, you need to just wait for inspiration, you know, don't don't force it.
Yeah. I already have people asking when you're going to tour again.
We're on right now. Like but in like all crazy countries, all over the world. We're going to get there.
Um, Asia?
Yeah. That's you. Last night was our last, our first night back on the bus. It was really cute. We're all partying. It was like a little self-party.
When you are a girl in a band full of boys, is there bus etiquette? Is there touring etiquette?
Uh, I think as as a girl on a bus full of boys, you have to learn to just kind of let stuff go. Go ahead, put put the seat down yourself.
What's your favorite place to tour or that you can't wait to get to?
Uh you know, I've always really loved when we play Athens.
So tell me, if you are not a rockstar, what would you be?
Uh oh, I don't know. I I could see myself in music education. I love kids. Um, let's see. I love to cook. I could see myself running a restaurant and being pretty good at that. I want to be a mom someday.
Oh. What's your favorite song on the new album?
That's really, really an impossible question. I love secret door and that it's this very classical 3/4 time harp showcase song that's really beautiful. I had a great time doing that one but at the same time I love the heavier songs. I love um, I love what you want. I'm really happy that was the first single.
To want you, what you want. Your world is ending.
On past albums you've written songs specifically for your sister. Do you have any of those deep songs on this album?
There is a lot of deep personal material on the record. I don't have a specific song dedicated to her on this one. No.
Okay. And that's for you Twitter. I will. That's specifically for you.
