I'm good, good. I'm Robert. Nice to meet you.

Robert. So, tell me what brings you to LA right now.

Right now, man, we're promoting our album, and we're playing tonight at Crazy Girls. We got a private event going on so that all our friends and industry people can come take a look at their new product and have a bunch of girls dancing around, having a good time, basically.

Isn't Crazy Girls a strip club?

Yes, it is. It's where they shot Girls, Girls, Girls video.

Are you excited about that performance?

Yeah, I'm super stoked, dude. Girls on our label, you know, they get to pay for it all. Works for me.

So, while you're performing, they'll be dropping it like it's hot.

Oh, yes, they will.

So, tell me a little bit more about the album. What is it called? And what's your first single off the album?

Uh, it's it's self-titled, Escape the Fate. And, uh, the first single is called Issues. I've just got to take on before it left this time I'm blowing up in my face. These issues bring me to the floor. These issues for my overlord. I feel so dumb and native. These issues, they showed me like it. Basically, it just deals with all the bull that comes our way, you know, as a young, up-and-coming band and, uh, turning into stars, you know, it's just like dealing with a lot a lot of criticism and and we address it in the song.

So, there are more than just you and the band. Do you want to tell me who else is in the band?

Yeah, we have our singer, Craig Mabbitt, uh, our bassist is Max Green, and our guitarist is Monte Money.

How would you describe the creative process behind coming up with songs? Is there one person that kind of takes the lead and does a lot of the writing?

I mean, there's no formula for anything. I mean, you can't really say, you know, sometimes the songs just come from above, you know. There's no way to describe it. And, uh, but I mean, typically our guitarist, he's he's always being creative, and he sits on a computer with his guitar and just and just starts hitting things and sees what he comes up with and brings it to the table with us, and we check it out and turn it into a really good, solid song. And some of them, we've collaborated with other guys, like we met with Jay Gordon, who used to be in Orgy. We worked with Mick Mars, actually, from Mötley Crüe. And that was that was really amazing 'cause he took a different approach. He would just take his guitar and just hit it and just make noise with it and stuff, and he'd be like, "Yeah, that sounds good." Like, yeah, it does. I don't know what you're doing, but that sounds rad. And so, we learned a lot from him.

Was he one of the people you looked up to growing up as a young musician?

Absolutely, dude. He's like, I mean, Mötley Crüe is like I I wouldn't say musically as much as, uh, like our lifestyle. Like we like we definitely took on like their just balls-to-the-walls approach. They don't sugarcoat anything. Everyone knows that they're crazy. And that's what we're all about. Like we don't care what people think of us. You know, sometimes it kind of hurts, but you just push it aside and you go, "Oh, well, on me." You know, and Mötley Crüe was like championed that whole vibe.
