Hello, we're Rixston and we're hanging out with Young Hollywood Backstage Diaries. My hat's got its own life. All I need is a little love in my life. All I need is a little love in the dark. A little bit I'm hoping it might kick start. Me and my broken heart. Well, we landed from London last night at 11:00. Um, we went straight to London, did one interview and flew straight back uh for this show. We came here and then we just, you know, sound checked, chill out for a bit. Uh, see everyone from our label, met the lovely Bonnie McKee as well, who's supporting us and um yeah, just kind of chill out really. It's the main sort of vibe. Smaller crowds, you feel a lot more intimate like you can look out and see every single person's face. It tends to become just a sea of people. I just think playing live shows in general just been and like playing these, you know, 15,000 people. It's a feeling how when you're a kid, you always want to experience it and then when you get that feeling, you can't describe it, can you?

No, not at all. And there's nothing else that gives you that feeling ever in the world.

Feel a bit invincible, a little bit, didn't you? For that little moment. For that little moment, you feel just, you feel great and the hairs on your neck stand up and you get goose pimples. It's just, it's mind-blowing. The songwriting process of Rixston is usually one of us will bring a nice little idea um, to the table, whether it's like a piano riff or an idea for a song. We huddle around the piano or just around an acoustic guitar. And basically just build it step-by-step. Keys, drums, guitar, and then lyrics is usually like the last thing.

Brilliant. One, two, three, four. Rixston! So, we're just huddling, me and the mates.

I like Louie. I like the sleeve. The sleeve definitely works. It's definitely working. I've got this like siren woman's face thing. It means absolutely nothing, but I just like the artwork. It's pretty much most of my tattoos right there. This here, I've got a woman's face here. It's uh, it's a Geisha girl. Quite like like Japanese art and that sort of stuff, so I thought it's quite cool. Doesn't really mean anything.

Yeah. Amazing. Uh, we were sharing a room in a, in France and uh, we were going to bed at 11 o'clock at night and then we just heard, "Rixston!" out the window. We looked down and there was just fans waiting there. And they stayed there till 7:00 in the morning until we left, which was very strange and incredibly humbling at the same time.
