Hello Young Hollywood, I'm Kimberly Caldwell, this is Bodacious Bob and you are pad crashing my place. Come on in. This is where we all chill out with all the animals. This is Sam right here. He runs the house, he's the barker. This is the um, cat's room. The dogs have a room and the sunroom, this is the cat's room, also aka the laundry room. I'm a huge fan of Grease. This is one of the original posters. And so a couple years ago me and my sister decided to be Sandy and Danny as well.

So exciting cause we got to see Bodacious Bob. We got to see Sammy, we got to see the whole house. So thanks for having us.

Sure, my little farm that I've collected. I love them.

Yeah, you're definitely an animal lover.

I am, for sure. We actually rehabilitate quite a few animals in this home because my sister's a veterinary technician. It's nice, you know, when you're out on the road a lot and you come home and you got all the all the unconditional love.

Of course, of course. Well, we are here to talk to you about your music because we were so excited to have you back.

I never really wanted to leave in the first place. It was like the day after I was kicked off Idol, I got a job with Fox Sports and they said, you'd be great as a host. And I was like, I'm a singer, I don't know what you're talking about. Then they told me they'd give me money to talk. So then that deal was signed.

You're like, sure.

Yeah, I was like, done. So, I started, you know, with TV Guide and then I hosted for MTV and then I decided that I had to stop everything I was doing. Seven years had passed. So then I met Ms. Diane Warren, who actually has a couple songs on my album and she became my mentor out in Hollywood and she's one of the most legendary songwriters there. She's had, you know, probably over a hundred number one hits. And, um, she really inspired me to let my voice be heard. Um, not only vocally, but as a writer. And so I'm really glad I did because that's what, um, actually landed me the Vanguard Capitol Records. I'll make a mess of you. The hell I put you through. I'll make a mess of you. Trust me. To F N.

Your single right now that's out is called mess of you. Yeah. Now that's another catchy title so tell us about the meaning behind that.

I wanted it to be about a girl making a mess of herself. So, um, I've made a mess of myself plenty of times. What the message is and what you'll see in the video is that when you put yourself in a messy situation, you can get yourself out of a messy situation. Always.

Yes. I like that.

And it's your choice. And so in the video you see me actually grabbing my own hand after I'm messed over by the guy. And, and leaving with myself, saving myself because that's the message that I want to get out, you know, like don't try to just skip over to the next guy.

Right. Well, I noticed that you guys shot at the Roosevelt Hotel.

Yes. I love The Roosevelt Hotel was like Dreamland. You know, it was like, when they said, yeah, we might be shooting at the Roosevelt, I was like, okay, sure. We'll see. Yeah, right, we'll be doing that probably in my basement, I'm guessing. You know. Um, and then we actually got the Roosevelt Hotel. I couldn't believe it. And video day was like for me like my wedding day. You know how like women plan like their dress and their groom. And things like that. I planned my video and my video boy and my video place and all that stuff. And I and all my dreams came true.

The album is titled Without Regret. Now that's a pretty powerful title. So tell us like what made you come up with that? Is there a specific moment in your life?

Um, I was literally driving down the street in Los Angeles right after I'd moved to LA. And I called my mom and I said, I just saw this massive sign that said without regret. And I said, it just smacked me in the face. It was like, this is how you have to live, you know, because if you walk around every day, oh, and I'm really hardcore. I have it tattooed on my arm. Check it out, guys.

That's pretty crazy. Is that in Japanese or

Yes. Yes. It's really just kind of like how I live. And it's how I hope that I can teach my sisters to live and and fans who who listen, you know. Don't walk around thinking, oh, why did I do that back in the day or, you know, walking around with any kind of guilt. Just know that it's life lessons and be who you are and know that you wouldn't be the person that you are today without have having made those mistakes.

What is it that we're going to learn about you as far as like with your album?

I think one of the main things that I wanted to get across is that I am human and I'm just like you and I cry like you and I and I do happy dances like you do. And I have family like you and, you know, I'm just like I feel like you feel. And I've, you know, had my heart broken. I've had a broken, um, you know, family and you know, I've gone through trials and tribulations. I've lost friends, you know. It's just it's things that go happen in your life that you, you know, that I wanted everybody to know like, I'm there with you. Like I'm I'm I'm on your side and I know that sometimes it gets hard.
