First & Last with Stephen Puth

Hey guys, this is Stephen Puth and here are my firsts and lasts. (guitar chord) I think I did it right. Pretty cool.

First celeb crush, truthfully no one cause I was like a sports head growing up. I just loved sports. First crush crush, her name was Claire I believe. I liked her cause she played sports. And she got a boyfriend and that was one of my best friends and I was a little sad inside. (plays guitar)

(laughs) And that's how you break Stephen's heart.

When I first wake up, I do a thousand pull ups. No, honestly I literally sit there and I convince myself that today is the day I'm gonna get out of bed before 8:30 or 9:00 and it never goes that way and then I wind up staying in bed longer. The first time I performed for an audience, Well, I opened for Astrid S, which was pretty sick. Before that, I did a little, little duet in front of a crowd last summer, but besides that, full band vibe, probably the Astrid S thing and then honestly, a couple weeks ago, I had a full band for a showcase. Honestly, I guess I was out to dinner once, when I was younger, and I saw Al Michaels, the sport's newscaster, you know, he called the 1980 Winter Olympic Games where he goes, "You have five, do you believe in miracles? Yes!" I saw him at dinner. He's a legend in my mind. The last time I cried over a movie? I just saw this movie, Five Feet Apart, that movie, like, that was pulling on my heart strings a little bit. I wasn't full blown crying, but I was sitting there and I was just like, "Oh my gosh, are you kidding me?" And there was this scene where the ice, when it fell in the water, I was like, "You better go get her. You better go get her right now. Can't remember which one you are, but Cole go get her!" And I was bugging. Last time I did something that scared me? I mean, I guess skydiving, I was scared driving over there, I was like anxious. I was like," I'm about to get in a plane and jump." But once I was actually in the plane, I like, looked out and I was like, "This is sick I cannot wait to jump." Last thing I do before I go to sleep? I like to have really, like funny, simple television on. Things like South Park, like just rude shows, Rick and Morty. That or, honestly, history documentaries. Cause that'll put you right to sleep. But I love it, maybe its osmosis, where you sleep, you're like, "I suddenly know everything about World War II." Last time I trusted my gut? Definitely was signing a record deal. I don't really know what my style is, I guess it's just me. It's kinda weird. I like to think that my voice makes you think of older music, where you go like, "Oh, his voice kind of sounds like Johnny Cash or Ricky Nelson and Elvis, but it's not, like 1950, so." Last person I called was my friend, Paul Sandson. Person before that? My mom, ma. I was over at her house this weekend. But the thing is, they only live like an hour and a half, hour away, so I go up there like, for a day cause nature up there's sick too and you know, I just go there, get lunch, whatever.
