Yeah. And you're performing?

Yeah, I'm performing. I'll be doing 20-minute set, something like that, so a handful of songs. Gonna be good night. It's sold out. So, uh, yeah, gonna be a lot of fun.

I love it. Well, you're probably gonna be performing your new single, right?

Absolutely. Yes.

Okay, tell me about it.

You know what, I feel like I have the, uh, for single guys. Okay. For single guys going on their first date, this song is the blueprint for your talking points, for your girl.

Yeah, well, I mean, it's got all the questions that you would need to ask somebody, I guess when you're first getting to know 'em. Yeah. What's your name? What's your sign? What's your birthday? Like, what whatever it is, you know what I mean? So, yeah, this song, uh, I feel like could help guys going on their first date.

That's true. And astrology, it's like, it's become so trendy, so that's good that you put that in, yeah?

Yeah.

And what's your sign again?

Uh, I'm a Scorpio.

Is that November?

Yes.

Okay, we have talked about that before. Okay. November. What do you know about Scorpios?

I don't know much about Scorpios, but, um, I guess just a normal normal guy.

Just a normal guy, just a normal musician killing it in the game, you know? Yeah. Well, we do owe you a congratulations because you're going on a few tours this year. One with Dan and Shay, one with Brad Paisley.

Dan and Shay. Uh, very excited about that. I love those guys. Yeah. I became early friends with them, uh, when I first moved to Nashville, and it's been cool watching them rise and and now getting to go out on tour with them. It's gonna be a lot of fun. And then Brad Paisley, who I've seen in concert a million times, uh, as a fan, getting to go out on tour with him is gonna be a, uh, treat as well.

We can't wait to see that. Back, yeah. And you've honestly been killing it because, you know, you collaborated with Tory Kelly, you've been releasing all these cool songs. Like, I wanna know, who's next on your collab list? Like, I know you have some in mind.

That's a good question. Um, thanks. I would love to collaborate with, uh, somebody country, maybe Thomas Rhett or somebody like that on a song. Cool.

Yeah. Who knows what'll happen, but, uh, I can dream big right now, right?

Oh, for sure. You're in your prime, sir. Are you joking? The spotlight's on you. Yeah. Literally, like, our light is on you. Literally, yes. Okay. So when you're not killing it in the music game, what are you up to? What do you like to do?

Good Lord, in my downtime, I play a lot of golf. Okay. I'm obsessed with golf. I try to jump into all these pro-am tournaments, um, that the the PGA holds and whatever. I just played one in Phoenix at the, uh, Waste Management. I have so much fun doing that. That's kind of my thing.

I love it. Yeah. And then do you remember when you were in the Young Hollywood studio and, um, we were with Tracy, and we were hanging out, do you remember this?

I do remember it.

And you said that you didn't believe in a certain species. Do you think dinosaurs are real?

Oh, to be honest with you, I don't know how to answer that question because I don't know if dinosaurs were real or not. Well, as a kid, my dad always told me dinosaurs weren't real, and you believe anything your parents tell you.

I know. And that's why we thought it was so funny because I was gonna ask, do you believe in them now? Since we've seen you last?

You know what? I haven't done, uh, a lot of research on that, but, um, I I guess if they found fossils, I should probably believe it.

There you go. And lastly, you're obviously a pro at writing songs about love. So if you have a general piece of advice for the Young Hollywood fans, what would it be?

Oh, just write what your heart feels.

Okay. If that is that what you're talking about? Yeah, like any advice, like anyone watching right now, just a general piece that you like to to follow, a piece of advice.

Oh, yeah, um, you know what, uh, Garth Brooks gave me this piece of advice that I'll pass down. He said, you can get anywhere you want to in life with, uh, how hard you work and how well you treat other people. And I found that to be very true.

I like that. That works in all areas of life, too. Not just necessarily like love and relationships, but just work and all that, too, yeah?
