Man, I've come to realize that when any form of music is at its highest level and connects and has its highest connection with people and the fans and the kids, at that point it becomes rock. So if you take like Snoop Dogg's first album, if you take P. E. at their height, if you take uh 50 Cent, what up, cuz, what up, gangster. At that point it was rock, stadium status. And it's so few people that really speak from their heart or say something. So I feel like the fact that they pick E. B. , you know, to perform at the 40th anniversary is saying like, yo, this is one of our last rock stars. Last true living rock. There's only a couple, you know.

I'm hanging out here with the Plain White T's. How are you enjoying the thread?

Uh, this is amazing. Yeah, we don't usually get to do this kind of stuff, so it's great. And we're actually nominated tomorrow, so we're really excited.

Get out here with Kat Von D. I gotta tell you, every time I drive down Fountain and La Brea, you have a crowd of people standing outside, looking in the window, taking pictures. How does that feel?

Um, it's good. I feel like, you know, all the support is really positive. So I think like especially with the tattoo world for so long, people thought tattooing was like a bad thing. So it's good to get that positive feedback now.

And are you off to the Kanye performance?

Yeah, I think I'm gonna check it out. Definitely.

You don't want to miss that. It's gonna be good. Anything you're looking forward to with the show, actual VMAs, you know?

Um, I'm just I don't know. I think it's gonna be really cool to see Britney. I think all all that stuff's gonna be really great. And it's just good to, you know, support all the music 'cause I love music.

We're here, of course, with the beautiful Eve. How's Vegas treating you?

Good so far. Um, this is like my first night that I've gotten to go out.

What have you been up to?

Just working, promoting my new album comes out October 16th called Here I Am, so I've been promoting, you know, doing shows and stuff and that.

Speaking of albums, what do you anticipate of Kanye's, you know?

Um, I'm sure they'll do well. Just like, you know, I'm not going for one or the other. Kanye or 50, you know, hopefully they'll both do really well.

What are you looking forward to tomorrow?

Tomorrow, I'm I'm just looking forward to hanging out, you know? Just cruising around. I I this is my second VMA, so, you know, it's fun every time. I'm not really picking sides with anyone, just going to have fun.

Any artists you're looking forward to seeing?

Um, I I hear Britney's coming back, so I I think that'll be interesting. I can't wait to see that.
