What's going on Young Hollywood? I am here with Miss Hailey Baldwin. What up? How are you?
I'm amazing. You smell so good. What the heck are you wearing?
Thank you.
You know what? I'm actually wearing Kim K's Ba perfume.
Stop. It's my favorite right now. I've obviously, I've seen everybody on the Gram opening it up but it smells so good.
It does. It's really nice.
Where's mine? Disrespectful. So we're here at the 2018 iHeart Music Awards. You're co-hosting.
Yes. I am the whole entire co-host. The whole thing.
Dude, that is gnarly. With DJ Khaled.
Mhm.
That is so legendary.
I know. He is going to be amazing. I'm really excited. We've only met once, but like you can just see from him on everything, on social media and everything he does, that he's just amazing. He's funny and he doesn't even have to try.
I love it. I love it. Now, you said you met him once. How was that? Can you please like paint the picture for us?
Once. I honestly think I I don't even remember. I think it was at VMAs maybe and we were just like kinda passing by like, "Hey, what's up? Nice to meet ya. Oh yeah, hey, hey, cool." Like really, really brief. But you know, tomorrow we'll we'll be friends for life clearly. I might just end up Asad's Godmother.
Is there like one DJ Khaled song you're like, "Take me higher."
Um, there's so many, but like Wild Thoughts, I thought was like the jam of the year. I really did. He crushed it. He really slays. All the time.
How do you think Drop the Mic has prepared you for this moment?
Oh my gosh, so much. I was just, you know, talking to to my team that I work with and I was like, I'm so happy that I've been doing this show because you don't think like you have to read off like a prompter and it's not easy. You really do need a lot of practice and it takes a lot to learn how to do that. It's so easy to stumble on your words and there's a lot that goes into it. You've got to read ahead and like I think there's a tactic behind it.
What is yours? What's your tactic?
It's not even that it's like a tactic, it's like you just have to learn how to not necessarily be listening to yourself as much as you need to be processing the words first. Like when you're like reading something instead of like hearing your own voice. It gets distracting when you're listening to your voice instead of just thinking about reading.
Right.
If that makes sense. Especially in an arena like this, because your voice echoes so loud and it gets really distracting.
I'm sure.
Yeah. That's why I'm like, I don't know how artists get up there and sing. That's crazy. Salute you guys. Our hats off.
Hats off. Well, I know for a fact you're gonna kill it. Come on now.
I hope so.
Come on now. Just go for it. Ball's in your court.
I know. We'll see.
I love it. I love it. I love it. So I wanna know, who are you most excited to see?
I'm really excited to see Cardi B. Say hello. You can't with me. I love her. Cardi's right there. Not really, but she's there.
I know you speak Portuguese.
A little bit. A little bit.
A little bit. So I wanna know, can you teach me like something like sexy to say in Portuguese? Like, "I'm your yummy daddy." Like I want it. Like give me something like that.
Oh. Okay, so you can say, "Cala a boca."
Cala a boca.
"E me beija."
E me beija.
Yeah.
Cala a boca. Cala, cala. Cala. Cala a boca.
Cala a boca. E me beija.
E me beija. Ooh, what is that?
Shut up and kiss me.
Oh, that's cute. So it's kinda like, "Daddy, I want you," but like not. Oh. You know. How do you say, "daddy" in Portuguese? Is it "daddy"?
Um, no, it's "Papai."
Fair enough. Papai.
Papai, yeah, would be.
Okay, well just you you put that together and add the Papai and you have it.
Yeah.
I love it. Can we please talk about this look? I'm sorry. I'm just like all over the place. This is so yummy. I could eat it for breakfast.
Thank you.
What is that?
This is David Koma.
Mm. I'm a fan.
Thank you.
It's like minimalist, but like
Yeah, it's like a little. It's like chic athleisure.
Oh, I guess athleisure is like chic athletic wear, so forget I said that. Either or, we would take it. We would take it. Now, fashion advice. Like what is like something that you're like this is something you need to abide by the end?
I mean, I feel like I still sometimes stumble and make mistakes in my own fashion, but you know, everybody does.
Right.
I always think if you go all black, you're not going wrong. Like a good chic all black outfit can just, I think, never go wrong. I really don't.
Oh my God, Hailey, you are perfection.
Thank you.
I could legitimately talk to you all day. Congrats on everything.
Thank you so much. Oh, she said same. I love it.
Tee time?
Tee time.
Girl's night?
Girl's night. Always room for that.
Girl's night, we need it. We need it. Thank you so much.
