Welcome to younghollywood. com. It's Michelle Marie with Young Hollywood. We are here kicking off Grammy weekend at the Q The Music event presented by The Grammy Foundation. Tell me about tonight.

I'm just excited because I'm you know, we always talk about how music is sort of the soundtrack of our lives. Of course. We'll literally television and music on television and the theme songs, I mean, right totally takes you back kind of through your your growing up in your life, but it's not a new idea. Music has always been part of television. Right. So we're going to recognize that tonight. And there's going to be a lot of great great music, so I'm looking forward to it.

Very good. Now, you're no stranger to the Grammys. Tell me how it's actually changed over the years for you or has it really stayed the same?

Well, the thing that's changed is just as music continues to evolve and music continues to change, artists continue to to push the envelope. Um, and we try to recognize that, and I think we're doing a better job of recognizing that quicker should I say. What hasn't changed is the integrity of the award. Right. It is a it is a pure vote on an award and that I think is is important, just like the Oscars are important because if you think about musicians, everybody puts Grammy Award winning before their name. You know what I mean? It's it's really the most important thing. So it's it's fantastic. So that hasn't changed, the integrity of the award hasn't changed.

You guys are nominated for two Grammys. How exciting is that?

It's pretty wicked, yeah. We were we were for two last time and we lost, so maybe we'll break our nomination record.

Yeah, I know you guys gotta do it, right?

We do know how to lose. Yes. We've known how to lose for 25 years.

We'll be are actually celebrating television and music and you guys are no strangers to having your song in a television show. How to Save a Life, you guys achieved so much success with just that one song.

Uh, it's crazy, you know, it's it's strange when you write a song and create this piece of music and then you sort of hand it over to public to do what they will with it, and then it's kind of taken on a life of its own. It's bigger than us, you know, but uh we would have it no other way.

Melanie Fiona, who is nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Performance. How exciting is that for you? I mean, you just like came out of the woodwork.

I I I've been working at it a long time, and and it's just really great to feel like when you put, you know, your hard work and your life, and you've dedicated it to something, to see that um, you know, people love it and they respect it, and they want to honor it. So being nominated is a really, really great honor for me and I'm just excited to be a part of music history.

Give us a turn. You look gorgeous, by the way. What are you wearing?

Thank you very much. Um, today I'm wearing Nicole Miller. Um, very excited. I feel like Cinderella. And uh I really just wanted to go with a color that is one of my favorites, blush salmon. Love it. And uh Nicole Miller designed a fabulous dress, so.

And your skin is beautiful. It's sparkly.
