Welcome to Younghollywood. com. Hello there, friends. I am Chet Cannon with Young Hollywood. We are here at the Almost Alice CD release party dance fiasco. It's going to be amazing. We got 303, a lot of huge bands. Let's go. Let's watch, let's enjoy. 303: 303.
Got Sean and Nat right here. Tell us what it is like to be asked to participate in such an album of famed Americans like Pete Wentz, Franz Ferdinand. He might not be American. I think they might be Scottish or English. They might be. 303: It was, it was rad. You know, we're we're huge fans of the the original book, Alice in Wonderland and and of Tim Burton's movies and stuff and then uh, we're in good company like you said on the on the album. So it was cool, it was cool to write for something so specific and and kind of zany and different.
Now you guys just recently worked with Katy Perry, who's uh who's next on the agenda? 303: We worked also with Kesha. And then uh we also worked with Little Jon in uh a song coming out uh fairly soon. So keep 'em busy. We're writing our next album actually. That's the reason we're in LA as well, so.
Oh, that's awesome. 303: We actually we we decided to be club guys while we're out here.
Yeah? Like Jersey Shore club guys? 303: Uh, we've just decided to like turn into club rats and like we we go clubbing now and.
Dude, that's awesome. I love waiting in lines and like not getting in. 303: Oh, yeah. Just get your Ed Hardy on and just We're doing it right. We're club guys, man. We don't we're not happy until we're in a club, you know what I mean? So,
2009, obviously a big year. You guys are a household name. What can we expect in 2010? 303: Uh, hopefully we become like a garage name or like uh
You want to backtrack a little bit? 303: Yeah, we want to we want to go more to like playground name or something.
I hear you, man. 303: No, actually uh we're hopefully, you know, our new album we've been working really hard on it and uh you know, hopefully that gets out there and people appreciate it and we we get to play a lot more shows because I think we're most happy when we're out there playing uh shows with our fans and stuff like that.
What was it like getting asked to be a part of this?
It was insane. I mean, um, I've been a big fan of Tim Burton for a really long time. And uh it's wild. So exciting. Yeah, yeah, definitely.
What was uh your favorite Tim Burton film?
I think um Edward Scissorhands. Just 'cause it was like creepy and it was one of his first ones, you know. And I've always wanted to have scissors on my hands instead of fingers. I think it'd be highly productive. Yeah. Off the line. The only the only thing I can say bad about the Anthony Michael Hall, who's my favorite geek from the '80s, like Weird Science, he's the bully. What's up with that?
Yeah, it doesn't make sense. You know? Absolutely not. No way. So, uh tell us about your song and your involvement.
Um, it's called "See What We See." It's uh a really trippy song about the ocean. And uh
It has to be if you're working with Tim.
Exactly. It was uh the perfect perfect excuse to make a trippy song.
Please tell us about your involvement. Second guest: Uh, we got to do a song for the soundtrack. It's called "Where's My Angel?" And uh I don't know, they asked us if we wanted to do a song and you know, of course, we jumped at the opportunity and uh we wrote a song from scratch just for the movie and uh we think it fits it pretty well. So, I hope everyone likes it.
Awesome. I know I'm going to. Now, what inspired you to write this song? Second guest: Um for me, you know, it's always about girls really. I mean, you know, it's about, you know, um this this love affair that's, you know, kind of brings you down down a hole really, you know.
What does it feel like to be a part of such an amazing soundtrack? Third guest: Oh, it's a huge honor to be to be part of this movie because I'm such a huge fan of Tim Burton. Like in my ideal world, Tim Burton would just recreate the whole world from, you know, ground up and everything would look twisted and cool.
Be terrifying. Third guest: No. It would be awesome. Different taste. You know, many things would be alive that are normally alive.
Tell us about your involvement. Fourth guest: Um I did a song with 303. And now it's here. Dun, dun, du-dun. Ta-dan, ta-da. As if by magic.
That is pretty magical and it's a magical film. Have you seen any of it? Fourth guest: No. I think we get a preview today. I've heard we do get a five minute preview. That's not enough.
No, it's definitely, it's never enough. So, this is going to be a big year for you. What's in store? Tours, new album, what's going on? Fourth guest: We are currently making my album, Big Born Steel. And we're doing it here in LA and we'll probably be doing that like 'til April sometime. Then me and Benny Blanco are going to be going back up to New York and finishing up there. Then I'm going to be doing the tours. 303: This has been 303 reporting from the sidelines of the Denver Nuggets and Cavaliers game. Back to you in the studio, Brandt Cheeseburger.
