Stars like Akon, Vince Gill, George Lopez, and Jimmy Jam came out to announce the 2008 Nominees at the Henry Fonda Music Box Theatre. Young Hollywood got a chance to find out what it is like to be a Grammy nominee and winner. Hosted by Michelle Marie.

It's really is a win. They can only give the trophy to one person. So I'm like
Are there any artists right now that you are looking at that's going to be up and coming that?
I think T-Pain is going to be bigger than me eventually. Um we got Ray El, New artist I just signed. He's just incredible. Kobe Donis. Oh my God, this kid is just so amazing.
Jimmy Jam, we got to say, you are an icon. What do you think winning a Grammy or even being nominated for a Grammy means to somebody?
Well, because it's your peers that vote for you, it's really the respect. You realize that as an artist that other people who you respect are loving what you do. You will forever be known as Grammy award-winning producer. There's nothing like having that before your name.
So we're here with the man, George Lopez. You got those guys cracking up on stage. She should be a target, like, what, what? So you just got nominated for an award for best comedy album. How does it feel?
Mexican, it feels fantastic. And if I won, I would put it on the hood of my car and wire it so that music played out of the. If you had to take one CD with you on a long trip. I would take Earth Wind and Fire, gratitude. And why not? And there might be like some native girl on the island that I might need some love songs.

It was unbelievable.
And what song do you have right now in heavy rotation on your iPod?
Can I be real honest? I don't have an iPod.
You don't have an iPod. Young Hollywood's gonna buy you one. And what young artist right now do you think people should be looking out for?
Well, Taylor's gonna be fun to watch. She has that youthful thing going and all the kids are nuts about her because she speaks right to them.
