What's up, guys? How are you?
What's going on?
What's going on?
You guys are absolutely crushing it in everything you do.
Thank you.
Appreciate it.
What have you been doing the most while you've been at home over the past couple months? What would you say?
Eating.
No, I love food. I love food.
Eating, recording, uh, just doing our push-ups, sit-ups.
Yeah, trying to stay healthy.
I know. All those summer have you been together the whole time? Do you live together?
Yeah.
Okay, cool. And what do you are you do you play video games a ton? Do you make TikTok videos? Like content-wise, what are you guys doing?
Um.
We play the game.
Yeah, we play a game. We do TikToks here and there too. Uh we had so much fun in real life.
Oh really?
Yeah, you forgetting about social media.
Yeah, sometimes. But yeah, we when we uh when we have like whenever we feel like doing TikTok stuff, we'll do it.
For sure. And when you are writing your songs and everything, are you intentionally writing them with the hopes that maybe they'll blow up? Are they just naturally like you guys just they take control on TikTok and you're like
That's that's the best question we ever got. We don't write.
Oh.
We don't write any lyrics. Any lyrics. We go straight off the head every time when the beat come on, we just do our thing and then you know what I'm saying?
That is insane.
Yeah, for real. We don't write anything though. Just clear that up right there. We don't write anything.
So you like the hustle and flow and all in and it just there. It just happened.
Yeah. We went into booth. And I said, you don't want to fight with us. Big Doja don't fight. Okay. And I just
That is insane.
It just had to go. It just had to go for real. We can't write because I think we both uh I got ADD. I got ADHD. He got ADHD. So if we were to sit down and try to write some, we're not going to do nothing but look at it. And next thing we know, we'll probably end up playing a game or something.
Oh my gosh. And what what goes through your head then right before you start, like do you just hear the beat and you just start going?
Yeah. Most time people when they come in the studio with us, they'd be amazed like, oh my god. Y'all don't how did y'all just do this? Yeah. It just like he said, this is just the ADHD, ADD. Once the beat come on, we are make like Oh, yeah, just go for it. Yeah, just go go go for it. Go ahead and do your thing. And then sometimes the beat sound like it's talking. So I just say the same thing that I feel like the beat's saying.
Oh my gosh. People don't know that about you though. I didn't know that about you. Do people not know that like do you not flex that you do that?
Uh, maybe we should.
Yeah, we should start saying that.
Nothing really no. We don't have any song. You never heard a song that we had that we wrote to it like would have been a favorite or even put in our notes. Like we just go in and say it. That's it. Like off the off the top of our head. At the time when it after we um do the song, we don't even know what we said. We'd be like, bro, I don't even remember what I just said. We got to listen to it. That's it.
But do you when you go to you find the beat, but you have it on record though, so just in case something like it is amazing. Are you just like, how does it come about then if you're not writing?
I'm going to break it down. I'm going to give you I'm going to give you it's short and simple and sweet right here. All right. Beat pack sent. See how the beats probably sometimes it might be 20 beats, it might be 10, you never know. So we click it through, boom, boom. Once that one come on, we both like, okay. All right. And then you know, we might get a little freestyling right there, but we still don't know what we said. Then you go in the booth and just restart again. You got to hear the beat again then go. Then once you hear the beat in your headphones, you might be in front of the microphone. That's when you Yeah. You might not even say what you in the other room. You're going to say something totally different. Every time.
When you just get done when you're in the booth with each other, and then do you guys go back and listen, you're like, okay, this is kind of clean. Like we we just crushed that or you don't really hype you to like hype it up.
Yeah, we'd be like, bro Sometimes sometimes we know when the song is like wow. We just did that. We did that with hustle and flow. Oh we didn't know that it was going to do that on TikTok. We didn't know that. We was just like going hard. Like when we made it, we was like, bro, I can't believe we just did it. That's how it be like some some songs come out to you be like, oh my god. Like we just bro. That's crazy.
And with hustle and flow when you first saw like all the videos getting made on TikTok, were you like when did you first see the first TikTok kind of and it blow up?
First TikTok I've seen was Charlie, I think. Yeah. Shout out to Charlie.
Shout out to Charlie.
And Lizzo.
Lizzo too. Yeah, Lizzo. Shout out to Lizzo.
Once the Lizzo jank, once the Lizzo video came, it was like, oh, all right, yeah.
Did have you made a TikTok to hustle and flow yourselves?
Yeah. But it wasn't to that one. It wasn't to it wasn't that challenge. We actually did it before. It was a challenge just like on some just like, hey this on hard, but let's just make a video to it. I got to learn how to do that. That's another thing by the I forget the the routines and stuff. It's so hard to me. I need somebody to teach me. I'm about to need like Charlie to teach me, somebody like that cuz she sees like they got it down packed.
They really do. They got it down packed. I watched their videos. I'm like, how are they doing this? Every little thing. It's just on point. And with like the the.
Yeah. It sounds weird when I do it, but you know.
That's cool. It catches everything.
When you what would you say each of your most iconic line from one of your songs is?
Out. The song is out or or unreleased?
Both.
No. Tell me, tell me. So this song is out and everything. Oh. Most iconic for me would have to be when I said, Lurking. She be lurking. She be searching. Freaking, I be working. You worry. That's real cuz sometimes when as a rapper, if you got a girl, your girl really think you doing some when you at the time to stay. You know what I'm saying? But you really not. You're really actually working for real so that's that's that's a real that's a real line right there for you.
I got. I can't even think of one.
You got to think of one.
See, I mean, I just I know a lot. Every time people see me, they say it. They be like, CEO, why you are like that? Yeah, they be saying it all the time. Like all the time. So I think that's one of them. That's cool. And plus the um you don't want to fight with us. Big Doja don't fight and they said it. That's a little. So that Yeah. I think that's cool. And.
I know. That's two iconic. That's not even words. That's just a sound.
It's not even words. That's just a sound. That's literally the sound.
Yeah, just It's a lot. I ain't going to lie. I ain't going to lie. I ain't going to lie. It's a lot.
It is a lot. It's so many. You can't even
There's literally so many. You guys are everywhere. It's awesome.
That's crazy.
That's crazy.
Choose one person that has DMed you that you just freaked out about that said like, I like the music. Or the dance. Cuz you guys are amazing dancers.
Um. Right. Well Drake. First though. He once he DMd, it was like, dang like why oh my god. Drake is going crazy. Like it's really working on some. We doing it. We doing it now. Uh, who else? Uh, Chance is kind of crazy too. Yeah. Uh, Slum God.
Oh yeah. Slum. Slum for sure.
It's a it's a few people. It's a lot of people like, Yeah, just the three years ago, we was like, dang, bro. Like watching it on YouTube, watching them on YouTube and then like listening to us. Now they listen to us. It's crazy.
Okay, then we're going to play a game, who is who? You down? First explain the game. Okay, basically it's of you two, who's most likely to in each situation.
Okay, bet, bet, bet.
Okay. Who's most likely to buy a chain?
Buy a chain? We both buy chains.
Who's most likely to beat the other one in a game of one on one? Any sport.
I ain't going to lie. I ain't going to lie. I can't cap. I ain't going to cap on that right now. I can't yeah.
Who's most likely to mess up a dance and have to start over?
Yeah. Me.
Who's the funniest?
We don't know.
Yeah, I get he's just funny looking. I know.
Who controls the aux when you're in the car?
Um, It depends on who car it is. Most of the time or just I don't know. We just We both got different tastes of music sometimes. So we just, you know what I'm saying? Back and forth.
What song is your go-to? Like if you're in the car with a group of friends, what song would you always play first? I know it changes all the time, but what's like your go-to? Right now. Right this second, yes.
Who you love or some no, you I just know how it is. It's off the the It's off the new one. I play it every day. Let me see, let me see. It's called what you know about love.
I have to I have to say Lil Keed, Fox 5. God. He been playing that. Oh my god, that's the best one. Fox 5. So good. Like, they just they just did like they went on the song the right way and the beat like soon as it come on. Every time I play this song if I'm driving, I'm driving fast as hell. I'm driving fast as
So good song. I put that on my Instagram story the other day that song. Yeah. Shout out Keed. Shout out to.
