It's the bag alert. You know you know you know when the bag secured. Okay. And you like okay.
Oh, you're getting plenty of bags in. Okay yeah.
This is my first that's my first bag I guess.
Now you got plenty you got plenty of All right. I want to talk about your hit. Booty. Talk about booty. This when I'm out on town clubs. Booty's going off. Yeah, this it's it's the it's the anthem. It's the club anthem. Yeah. Did you know like right away?
Yeah, I knew I'm telling you how I knew. When I when I record music everybody been in they've been in studio like going crazy they'd be turn they'd be wild. All my partners and stuff but when I when I did booty everybody was just like sleep. Or they they wasn't into it. They thought it was whack.
Everybody like, that's not whack. Whack, how does that work out? If everybody
Because it made me like all right you you basically just like somebody telling you that you can't do something or you tell them it's a hit and they like, nah, it ain't no hit. It's not whack. You just you just
So you go with the opposite of what people tell you.
Yeah it's like you you it's just play to your power to prove that person wrong.
You're also mentored by uh Yo Gotti.
Yeah, that's the big homie. Legend. Yeah, legend.
What what has he What has he uh told you? Like what advice or has he put you on game that just kind of changed your life?
Yeah yeah plenty of plenty of plenty of game. Like for like
But what like what would you say is something that like constantly crosses your mind?
Don't chase the money chase the dream. Cuz I like at first I used to be chasing the wrong thing trying to You know just running about the money. Like you know you wake up running about the money. So like now when I wake up I don't wake up like just thinking about no money. I just wake up thinking about like how great my day for to be how I'm going to make my day great. Me myself and I without money. So if I don't make a dollar today I'm still going to be happy regardless. So he told me how to don't chase the money chase the dream. Cuz you can be chasing money miss out on something even more bigger. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Sometimes you got to do it for do do do things free. Sometimes you got to cuz it's free right now but in the long run they're going to pay you off. You know what I'm saying? Yeah.
Is is music the dream?
Yeah, music my dream. I always been my dream music, acting.
Acting?
Yeah, I'm already working on.
You have some acting skills me?
Yeah yeah of course. Of course. You got I just want to know do you have like a monologue? You got a monologue We're going to do it independent route. I'm going try that first. If it don't work then I'm going go go.
One thing I like about you is you're always smiling. You got your personality is huge. Yeah, too. Why do you think that's important kind of for your fans and just in general?
I mean I mean I always tell them like your your smile determines how far you're going to go in life. You know what I mean by that? Take me out. Let's say if I walk in this room right and you in here you sitting on the couch. But you just looking like But if you in here smiling ain't no news I got I'm going to come tell you right now. You know what I'm saying? So I try to smile 24/7 ain't no chance I get. It's important to me.
I heard you talk about the difference of making like a mixtape compared to your album.
Yeah. I mean like when I did my album album 223 it's out right now. Uh like when my tapes I always like when I record I rush I rush my record. I don't really be on no just taking my time. You know what I'm saying? Like but with the album is like I took my time with it. It took I I recorded numerous of songs and I was able to pick through all them songs. Like with mixtapes I'm going to record just this right here. So I'm automatically just to give you this right here. But with the album I got all this on the table. So I can take this out and take that out and put that in and you know what I'm saying?
How do you like how do you distinguish like a a mixtape song to an album song? Like when you're making in the process, you know what I mean? Cuz like
So with the album mixtape I'm like you know what I'm saying? Quick. And then with the with the with the
You spending some time.
With the album I'm going You make love. Oh I'm kissing it. You know what I'm saying? So it's a difference.
I feel it. I feel it. Yeah it would make it so different. You also said you make music uh you started doing this based on cities.
Yeah.
What like what's the what's the LA vibe compared to like a New York vibe?
I'm the type person that when I'm making if I'm making if I'm making music like I got to be like there. If I'm in like whatever I'm tell me out I'm probably doing it at the moment. Okay. You know what I'm saying? Or probably just can't.
So you're in the scene. You're like you're going to like each scene and feeling the vibe.
I I got to feel it. Like if I'm like LA it's got the sun up. You got you know it's hard when I be in LA. I can talk about struggling music but I can't it's hard to I don't make nothing but pop songs out here because it's just that's what you doing around. Yeah but like when I go to Memphis I'm I got people in the city still going through it. You know I got family members that still struggle on paying their bills on trying to figure out how they going to do it tomorrow. You know what I'm saying? So I can talk about I can go back to them things because at the moment I dealing with the yeah. So New York is like business. So I might be talking about some some You don't even know what they making. Securing the bag.
Oh Black Youngster, it's been an absolute pleasure.
