Welcome to YoungHollywood. com. What's up everyone, I'm Sam Adams, I'm on music video, Still I Rise. The set. Take you around. Beautiful ladies. Some decent guys. This is where the director does, does his thing. This is the last shot we just did with me and G, drinking some champagne. This is the house. The beautiful mansion that I wish I own. I mean, look at the ocean. That's the best part. Here we go. It's got the infinity pool, this is the little chill zone with the fire pit. Which we're going to utilize later tonight hopefully. That pretty much wraps it up.
Sam Adams here with Young Hollywood. Tell me what's going on, I see a lot of girls in bathing suits in high heels hanging around the pool, is this like what your life is like?
Um, no not really. I try to stay away from girls, girls are trouble. One of the scenes is before, me on the beach, walking on the beach. And then G was in the hallway. G's down there. This is sort of like a feel good video to a summertime song, so.
Feels like it's kind of like a pool party action going on.
Yeah, a little pool party going on. Cute girls.
Who influenced you growing up musically?
Everyone. Um, everyone from like the Neville Brothers to like Dave Matthews to like Jay Z, Nas, Big L, Biggie. Um. Cause like I played piano and like was interested in music before I even really knew what rap was. So a lot. Um. I'd say Eric Clapton.
No, you didn't. G Curtis. What's up? That hook, I can't, it's in my head now.
Yeah? Good, good.
I'm kinda pissed about it.
You shouldn't be pissed about.
I'm just gonna go home and just sing it.
You, as you should, and tell all your friends to buy the record and just keep singing it so the whole world can sing it.
It's such a good song, how did you get together with Sam on this?
Well basically, uh, with this one actually the first day I met Sam we got we were in the studio and we came up with this hook. Heard the track and, uh, you know, got some ideas flowing, got some juices flowing, feeding off each other. I kinda, uh, went back to the, uh, Maya Angelou poem, Still I Rise. And when I when I heard that I was like, you know, that's kinda what we're doing. You know, we're you know, young artists on the rise coming up, you know, doing what we're doing. It was like, okay still we're rising so I got we got Still I Rise. Wrote the rest of the lyrics and it was beautiful, you know. It's definitely a feel good song. I mean, you know, you see how we're doing the video just living it up, summertime enjoying ourselves. Um yeah, it's definitely a a really heart heartfelt song and, uh, yeah, that's that's definitely how we're going about it.
So let's talk about you for a second.
Yeah, let's talk about G.
You've got a lot of going on.
I do have a lot of going on. Um. Oh can you cuss on. No we can't. So let's do that again.
You've got a lot of stuff going on. You messed that up. Do you wanna tell us what you have going on?
Uh, well right now I have my EP on iTunes, it's my first EP. G Curtis called Fallin' Out. Definitely go get that. Holla. First round records. Um, and right now I'm just kinda, um, going on tour with Sam, opening up for him. Here on the set of Still I Rise, G Curtis, Sam Adams. You already know what it is. Thank y'all. Peace.
