You're locked into Young Hollywood.
Hey guys, Nikki Novak here for Young Hollywood.
We're here on the set of game's new video, Pot of Gold.
I missed the days when life was simple.
What if I never tried to follow that rainbow in search of the product code.
Beautiful to be able to just be in Los Angeles shooting a video and it's my video.
And it's featuring Chris Brown.
Young Hollywood is here.
I mean, Young Holli, I mean let's get a look at this.
How's it going?
It's going great.
Yeah?
Yeah, man.
We we just um the first set was uh up in the bedroom and it was like real reminiscent to uh how I grew up.
So I had my son, my oldest son in there and just, you know, it's the whole video is based around my life and where I came from.
So I kind of want to walk him through it so that he can see because one day my mom took him to, you know, the block where I grew up and showed him the house I grew up in and he didn't believe that I came from there because he didn't see not, you know, he's spoiled, he go to private school, he lives in a big old house, he has millions of toys.
So he's just not really familiar with my reality.
And so uh basically just walking him through.
I actually heard your grandmother gave you your name, is that true?
Yeah, my grandmother gave me uh the name Game because uh it ain't nothing I can't do.
And uh I played a lot of video games when I was growing up, basketball, I swam, I played football, soccer, baseball, I ran track.
So you play video games?
Play video games.
Did you just get a video game tattoo?
Yeah, yeah, right here, right here.
It's like the evolution of video games.
You got like evolution.
Evolution.
Like Xbox, like all the way from Nintendo, Atari.
Okay, so where does it start?
It starts back there.
This is Atari?
Nintendo controller, Atari, Xbox, PlayStation, and a Mr. and a Pac-Man game too, somewhere.
So this was your idea to shoot here, you wanted to be at home?
Nope, it's never my idea.
Brian Barber is the best video director that I know.
Um, he did Wouldn't Get Far with me and Kanye.
He did My Life with me and Wayne, and now he's doing Pot of Gold with me and Chris Brown.
Um, he's one of my best friends in the industry and outside of the industry.
And um, so I told him to write a treatment.
I don't want to read it, I don't want to see it.
I'm going to come when it's time to shoot it and we're going to knock it out.
Do you like acting?
I love acting.
Yeah, I'm a natural actor.
Really?
See you back on the big screen soon.
Real soon.
Would you ever like do that and then, you know, not do the music?
Do you have a preference?
Uh, I think uh as I get older and my music career starts to slow down, I want to phase into uh the acting thing and um, I got some pretty good connections in Young Hollywood, Young Hollywood.
We're big.
Yeah, we are big.
We're blowing up.
We're blowing up.
I mean, your Twitter is like pretty insane.
My Twitter is no holds barred.
Uh, I'm not on Twitter for anything other than to crack jokes and mess with people and hurt people's feelings and then that's it.
So if you follow me, matter of fact, you know how everybody says, this is my Twitter, follow me.
No, me, I just say my Twitter is @thegame unfollow me.
I'm trying to get back to zero followers.
Yeah, but you know if you play that reverse psychology, if you tell people not to follow you, they're going to want to follow you more.
Or they might just not follow me at all.
So let's just try to get everybody out there to unfollow @thegame.
You're mean to people sometimes.
You crack jokes.
You got to laugh.
You got to laugh.
What what's what's like the, yeah, the bad boy's always gets the girls.
Got to make them laugh.
Look at the grin on your face when I say that too.
You got to make them laugh, then you got to make them cry, then you got to make them laugh again.
You got the puffy dog guys too.
That's trouble.
Yeah, man.
I got the I get them from my mama.
She around here somewhere too.
Is she?
Your mom's here?
My mom's here somewhere.
She must be proud.
Yeah, um she's proud now.
It's kind of calmed down.
She was proud in the beginning when I first took off and sold millions, but now she's used to it.
I sell millions every time I come out.
And uh so she's not really proud, she's just kind of like, "Oh, he sold another two million.
I'm cool."
It's just normal now.
It's just normal.
Must be nice, huh?
Must be nice.
Mom can just sit back and just enjoy.
They just chill, man.
My mom don't have to do nothing but just
So you take care of her?
Yeah, I love my mom.
Take care of her, bought her a house and now we good.
Do you like bling?
Are you into bling?
I don't wear jewelry anymore.
No, I see that.
Well, you got the tattoos are kind of like your Frank the millions on jewelry and look, all my guys wear it.
Look, watch, every guy that turns around has on a chain.
Look.
Chain number one.
Look, go over there to the right.
Chain number two.
Look behind him.
His is backwards, but he don't know it.
Swag.
Chain number three.
Everybody got chains around here, man.
What you thought was an interview has turned out into be a documentary on the game.
Well, that's what we like to do.
Young Hollywood.
We like to really get to know you.
I like that.
You know.
We don't just ask you boring questions, we want you, we want the game to have fun.
So basically y'all just chilling.
We're just chilling.
That's all we want to do.
Isn't that good?
Yeah.
We might be in the video.
Could we be in the video?
You know she's in the hood, she don't even know where she at.
Number one, this is a Blood hood.
I took, I trust me, I needed my navigation.
This is one of the most notorious Blood Blood sets in Los Angeles.
This is 20, the 20s.
Yep, we're the 20s.
The 20s.
Do a V deuces.
20s.
20s.
Did I do it right?
Did I do that right?
Now, that could get you hurt if you didn't have your tour guide.
But I got you here.
Who's going to mess?
You got a ghetto pass.
You got a ghetto pass.
For the day.
What's up, man?
Young Hollywood, we would love to just hang out all day with y'all, but we got to go.
You know why?
Because game got to do his push-ups.
