We're starting from scratch here. It's complete scratch. No, I got some software here. We're gonna load up a sample. Any kind of sample. In this case, let's do like Jackson 5 or something.

Do you guys do a lot of sampling?

Yes. Every since we started, we started off sampling, so definitely one of the things that makes

All right. So now that's a great sample. I like this one. Yeah, I'm liking this. We're gonna we got our sample here. Hey! Hey, Hey. All right, so we got the whole sample. Just do two parts. All right, we're gonna Let's do another pattern. All right, so you got a little little groove there. just a little kick a little bass in that. Hey, boom. All right. Boom clap going on. We're gonna add a little bit more drums. All right, so you got a little little groove there.

So now, I guess we have to move on to the the rapping part. What do you do? You hear this song and then all of a sudden you just Does it come to you? Do you flow like I don't know.

I'd be like, yeah. Yo, you know I'm rapping live. Won't stop till I'm stacking high and make phone sample Jackson 5. When he does stuff like that, it inspires me more like, like take over the world. I probably could, but I'll be young in Hollywood. And you don't even got to ask why, cuz the boy going to get it. I know they can't stop me. Feeling like God, God, Dodge paparazzi. Yeah. And we play like Yatzy. But everybody else, they are not me. You know, I style crazy with the wild flow. And I'm still not a child though. Hey, yo, you see me with the stylish sneaks walking in these college streets. Show you how to stop for weeks rapping. Nah, let me tell you.

Got excited? Got excited? No, that was really good. We just kicked flows and have fun. Your single is amazing. "Opposite of Adults." How did you guys come up with that concept?

I made the beat and I was gonna mash it up with Biggie Smalls. And he heard it and he heard it one day, you know, when we were making records and he was just like, I gotta rap off that. And I got the vibe of, you know, kids and I I flipped it and took it back, because let's be honest, I mean, everybody wants to stay young forever. So, I heard that and that's what I felt like the beat, you know, told me to do it.

Yeah, and I know I was a kid. Was it with the other little kids? Now I'm ripping up shows and the fans are going wild with us. Tell mommy I'm sorry. This life is a party. Remember you was a kid? Reminisce days of innocence. Now it's Chiddy Bang, Google me the images.

We just wanted to come together and, you know, create a video that, you know, matched the mood of the song, you know, something that wasn't too serious, but, you know, had had a lighthearted element to it. And I think we did a good job in capturing it. It was fun. We shot it in the Lower East Side. You know, we got a bunch of kids out there, you know, it was it was positive and we had kids acting as us and, you know, we had big heads.

How did you guys meet each other?

We were both freshmen last year at Drexel University and our mutual friend, Zach, uh, kind of be like, yo, you make good beats, you're good at rhyming. Y'all should make some recordings, and we did.

So, it must be incredible to go from living in a dorm, eating ramen to now recording in LA and doing very big things. How does that feel?

Feels great, you know, it's like my boy Nile said, you know, it's like going from living off ramen to living off rhymes.

So, who has been a role model for you in the music industry?

Black Thought from The Roots. We met him. We told him, you know, we're trying to, you know, get in the game and we sent him our music. He heard it. He thought it was dope and he was like, whoa, you sampled M. G. M. T. And, you know, ever since then, he's been, you know, taking us out for dinner, you know, doing some jam sessions, bringing us out to the jam sessions, took us to the Roots Picnic, gave us advice before we had like official management, or, you know, the industry and things to look out for. So,

That's very cool. So, he's like a mentor.
