Hey there Young Hollywood, I'm Tatiana Diana, hanging out at the 11 Guts Art Show sponsored by Vitamin Water.

We're going to check out some of the art and talk to the skaters.

So we have Pat Nohol, 11 Guts Art Show.

Tell me why you're here.

I heard it's all because of you, really.

I'm one of the co-founders of the 11 Guts Art Show.

The 11 Guts is an art show that's um, it's it's a skater art show.

And it's you know, skateboarding is a very creative uh activity, art form.

What came first, the artist or the skater?

Uh, gosh, you know, I'm going to have to say the skateboard came first.

What's your workout regimen like, your health?

What do you do with your life?

How do you how do you keep it together?

Vitamin Water is a great way for me to just, you know, keep uh hydrated and to keep going.

Uh, it's good for you.

Eyes wide open.

Tell us the inspiration behind that.

I did a dedication, these Dogtown crosses to guys that were very inspirational to me as as a kid growing up, which is uh Polar Bear and Baby Paul.

You know, those guys were the original skate rats from the Santa Monica Venice area.

Um, they had a a huge impression on me and a lot of skateboarders.

And so I've made these uh dedication crosses.

So we have Ray Barby who is in charge of all the music and the beats tonight.

They asked me to come out and play and then they asked me to hang up some photos also because um I love shooting black and white and printing in the dark room.

So this your first event with these guys?

Um, at it's my first event with the 11 Guts collective, but a lot of these guys I've done things with them apart from the 11 Guts.

So besides your own art, who is your favorite downstairs?

Oh, I dig it all.

Like Lance's uh pool is awesome.

So we have Christian Hosoi.

You're another renaissance man of tonight, who is an artist and a skater.

Do you have a little bit of a exhibition downstairs for your stuff?

Yeah, I've got three pieces, um, two are old pieces that I've done a while ago.

And then uh, the one piece that I I put down there focusing on is the one on Baby Paul Cullen.

It's so great to see such a powerful sport such as skating and then art coming together for such a good cause.

What inspired you to get involved with this cause?

I want to be able to say, you know, I've influenced people, or I've encouraged people.

I've motivated people to to do something, you know, with themselves.

Jeremy Ray, another artist that's featured tonight.

Talking to a lot of skaters and they all seem to have this natural knack for art.

I think uh, skateboarding breeds originality.

You really get to be yourself.

You're not, you know, boxed in with rules.

What came first, the art or the skater?

I've been uh, doing artwork, you know, ever since I picked up a crayon, just kept going and going and uh, I just always learned, got better, and I really wanted to be good at it.

You're a busy man down there.

Everybody wants to talk to you.

What's up with that?

Well, we're here at the art show and uh, trying to sell some art, move some pieces, and connect with the fans.

We've talked to a lot of skaters who say that they've always been artists and skaters at the same time.

Is that true for you as well?

You gotta be creative when you're when you're out there skateboarding because it makes it fun.

Are there any skaters, young skaters out there right now that you foresee being kind of legends like yourself?

Um, well for sure.

I mean, you know, the guys that are on top of the game right now that are winning X Games and I could see them having uh, careers as long as, you know, me, Lance, Christian Hosoi, Steve Olson.

It just takes having a a positive outlook and and someone guiding you.
