Paul Blart: Mall Cop. I know him. He's in it. What was the reaction like in Vegas? Cuz I know you shot this movie in Vegas.

Oh, amazing. Yeah. Everyone there was so supportive. Everyone at the Wynn Hotel was awesome. That's mainly where we filmed everything.

Did you stay in the Wynn?

I did for a couple days. It was beautiful. So nice. The food was amazing. I mean, I had food, I mean, room service every day and the food was I mean, it's a five-star hotel.

Okay, you and I need to hang out more. Because my two favorite places in the world are hotels, room service. Yes. And malls. Yes. So much fun. That's like me. Both like Paul Blart: Mall Cop 1 and 2, basically.

Yeah, exactly. The first one was in a mall. Yeah. And all I did was go shopping all day. And the second one was in Vegas and all I did was hang out at the Wynn and walk around.

Take it in, cupcake. I'm finally working the big leagues. I'm so proud of you. Hey, you're pretty good on one of those things. Been known to dabble. Oh! Monkey hopping it. Oh, missed it. Still got it. Hey, but tell me this because this is the craziest thing is that you were 20.

You were how many days away from turning 21?

Five days. We wrapped five days after uh five days before I turned 21.

That's so wrong. That's so wrong. Cuz they gotta like move production back.

I know. That's what I thought. I was like, really, guys? Really, five days. That's all I had left. It was funny though. I mean, I don't I don't gamble. I don't drink or anything. But it was very funny because in the casino floor you're not allowed to walk on it if you're not 21. Yeah. So even when I was filming even when I was filming, I had to have someone like hold my hand from production to like walk me through the casino floor. If not, I had to go all the way around and take the long way.

And at like 3:00 in the morning, you're like, guys, I just gotta get to I gotta get to work. Um, hello. Oh God, you look like you're just ready to cruise. Like you're just like

We should just stroll the mall in sunglasses. Would that be weird? We're just like shopping. Oh, I like. In sunglasses. Oh, I like. You could get fancy with those. These are fun. Let's see color. You would? Yeah, you're like amazing. Oh my gosh. You're the best. Well, we're twinnies now. Could we just like arrange for every time I'm gonna be here. Just for us to just for you to randomly walk up to me.

Yes. We should just hang out. Yes. We should just hang out all the time here. I'm here all the time. I love the mall. Mall's so much fun. This is smell. It's just fun. And you come home and you're exhausted.

I know you're so exhausted from you literally shop till you drop. Well, that's how I shop. One time I was at a mall. And oh, shocker. What? Me in a mall? That never happens. So one time this um little boy actually was was sort of walking around trying to like to see if it was me or not. And he was staring so much at me, he ran face first into a pole and then fell backwards. And I was like, do I help him? Do I run away? Like, is that gonna freak him out more if I go help him up? Or do I just stare? I mean, what am I doing? So I walked over to help him, but he was like, uh uh uh. I was like, can you breathe? Are you okay?

That's amazing.

It was really cute. It was it was funny. It was cute. And I felt bad for him, but he was so excited afterwards. I was like, I'll take a picture with you for sure. Yeah. He was like, I ran into a wall for you. I was like, I saw that. Yeah. Wasn't this the first time you really did night shoots?

Yes.

So tell me about that. How do you stay I mean, you have so much energy, but is it these are long nights. What do you do?

Well, see, and I thought that I was I I'm a night owl. I stay up really late, so I was like, oh, it'll be fine. I'll be good. You know, hitting like 3:00 a. m. I'm like, all right, guys. Woo! Bedtime, am I right? Naps. I believe in naps now. Yeah. It was a lot of fun. Working as an adult was was totally new. I've never done that before. So it was great. I mean, you need to work like 14-hour days but at night. So it was weird.

And you would see a lot of cool people like at night.

Oh, yeah. Yeah. great people watching in Vegas at night.

Exactly. Any any crazy exciting?

Just a lot of fun people that were really excited because you know, there's always new people from the country there. I mean, there was a new set of people every 20 minutes everywhere in Vegas. So If you have ADHD. I know exactly. So we had like we had um fans that would watch us filming cuz obviously you're like, why is a film crew here? What's going on? Yeah. And so we would shoot all over the Wynn Hotel. I mean, at one point we were on the roof. So one particular time, we were in the lobby, Kevin and I, and we did this great big opening shot of the Wynn as we walk in and it's the camera did a whole 360 as it it's like our point of view. And it was beautiful. And people were like, hey, wait a minute. Are you guys from Paul Blart: Mall Cop? What are you guys doing here? We're like, oh, we're filming a sequel. And everyone's like, about time.

I read the cutest thing that you um you actually fanned out over David Henrie once.

I did when I was 12.

And asked him for a photo.

I did. And then here you get to kind of a love interest in the movie or like a little flirtation or

Yeah, he's my He's my love interest in the movie. Yeah, there's definitely.

Did you cast him?

There's no I did you know what's so funny though? Um, obviously, we both had that Disney Channel connection. Yeah. And I heard that he could possibly be in the movie. And I was like, oh my gosh. I totally like I've seen him before. I've met him before. How awesome. And then when I was looking at photos to put around the house like baby photos of me, I found the photo of me and David. And I completely forgot that I took that. It was way before his Wizards of Waverly Place days.

Who was?

It was when he was on That's So Raven, cuz that was my favorite Disney Channel show.

Got it. Got it.

And so I took a picture with him and I was like, oh my gosh. And then who would have known like eight years later, here we are working together on a movie.

Okay, so hold on. You just directed an episode of Austin & Ally.

I did.

I know that you've said you want to direct an episode of Modern Family.

Yes. I would love to.

Would you like boss your bro around? Like how would you be?

I mean, I kind of already do that already because I'm his older sister. So I've always directed him my whole life.

Okay.

It would now just be on camera and people would actually see it. Yeah. Um, yeah, I love directing. It's a big passion of mine. And to make a my debut on Austin & Ally the way that I did was so great. I've been on the show for four years now. Yeah. We're like a big family. So to be able to do that was amazing. And then to work, you know, on something as awesome as Modern Family. That would be so great. Even to direct a a movie or a short film or a music video, anything. I I'm excited for. I'm the only girl in my family. So my brother's never understood why I love coming to the mall all the time. That was my girl time. That's my time. I also love shopping for other people. So I love like shopping for my friends. Right? I do. I do. I love creating new outfits and like looks. I love like yeah, I just love having fun. I love figuring out what I want to wear and then going with that. Like I love looking at what they have on the mannequins and then drawing inspiration from that. I do. I do that too. I think that's so much fun. I think that's so much fun to like look and see what other people are wearing and then take from everyone's style and make it your own. Make it your own. I think that's so much fun. And then it's a great place to like me and my mom to bond together. Yeah. Because you know us being the only girls in the family. Yeah. We love doing that. So it's so much fun.
