Welcome to Younghollywood. com. Hey everyone, it's Michelle Marie, coming to you from the Sunset Strip here at the House of Blues for Melanie Seagal's Oscar Lounge, where the stars have come out to lend their support for the I heart Haiti project. Let's go inside. What are you doing to help, and what are your thoughts on everything? I am doing as much as I can possibly do simply by donating. You think what ends up happening is initially, everybody freaks out, "Oh no, we got to give! We got to give!" Oh, it's Tuesday now. We don't have to give you know, just just because it's it's not on the front page of the inquirer this week, it doesn't mean that those people are are any better off.

So, donate, help, raise awareness. Speaking of the inquirer, I've I've seen a little scandal with you lately. What was that? You're trying to take money from the guy on the corner over there, you're trying to like hand-handle. What's up with that? Oh, no, that's not a scandal. That's a second job. That's just No, I'm not ashamed. No. Come over and see me, I'm at the intersection of Sunset and um and Gauer. I hang out there cuz there are a couple studios. I dance for change, and and I will kill anyone that comes in the vicinity. If you were to go out there and receive an Oscar, would you actually prepare a speech, or would you wing it?

I believe in that instance, you have to prepare, because I've been on the winning end when twice I said, "Oh, I'm just gonna wing it because it'll come from the heart." And then I looked at myself later on TV and I went, "Oh." Because you leave folks out. So later when I won, I was very prepared and said, "Hey, I wanna thank such and such and such and such." You're getting a little piano lesson here from the great over here, Mr. Charles Siegal. Uh, I didn't know anything until, you know, just like 10 minutes ago. If you were to actually go out there, when you do go out there and get that Oscar one day, would you write your speech, or would you wing it? I'd probably just wing it.

You would wing it? Yeah. Do it from the heart? Well, I wouldn't expect to win anyways, so, you know, so I wouldn't even try to prepare. So you just got some really cool stuff here. You just got a a membership to the House of Blues Foundation Room. It's awesome. So excited. I can't activate it till I'm 21. A few more months. What would you say is so cool about being involved in all of this? Um, it's so exciting. I mean, for awards season, I think it's so cool. It doesn't matter what award it is, just getting nominated for something that you love to do, and we're so blessed to be in such an amazing business. Um and actually getting recognized for it, which I think is really cool.

Um, but personally, as a spectator of awards season and Oscars, I love the fashion. I love sitting there and watching the fashion. If you're nominated one day for an Oscar, would you choose something super outrageous, or maybe do a classic look? My style personally is more classic. But it's Oscars. Like, you can be ridiculous if you want to, and nobody can really say anything about it. I mean, you'll have the panels of people that'll be like, "Ooh, that was a bad choice," but it's the Oscars. So what do you most love about awards season? It's an exciting time of year here in Hollywood. Um, this. This is a very unique experience for him right now, having a talk and do this at the same time.

The perks to being an actor in Hollywood, right? I I yeah. I guess. When you win your Oscar, are you going to prepare your speech, or are you gonna wing it? That seems like such a distant possible dream, but um, I guess everyone thinks about it. Um, would I prepare? I'd probably prepare something and it would probably like most people go out the window the second you got up there. I mean everyone said everyone talks about that, I they get up there and everything just disappears. I'd like to think I knew what I was gonna say, but I'm sure the same thing would probably happen to me. So who are you rooting for this year for the Oscars? Any movies that you're really into?

Um, I mean, everyone's talking about Avatar and The Hurt Locker, so and for good reason. So you're here in this cool gifting lounge. What do you love about getting all this stuff? It's always fun to get stuff. You know, you have little gifts for your your mom and your sister, you know, when those you know, birthdays come around and everything. What's the most exciting thing for you as far as, you know, being an actor and being involved in all of these great causes. I mean, today we're going to be benefiting Haiti. Uh, I just I'm grateful to have to be in a position where, you know, I I can say something and it might influence some people.

And if you were to say your ultimate goal, what would it be? Well, making my own album has been my ultimate goal for a long time, so cross that one off the list, you know. Uh, now I gotta find something else to do. The next thing to conquer. Coolest thing about the lounge, what could you say? Uh, this interview, running into you, catching up. Of course, Young Hollywood.
