OMG Firefox, Young Hollywood. We are here with Sonya. Hello. If you guys don't know who Sonya is, she is the number one female game caster on Twitch. Pretty much she can kick your butt at any video game ever made.

I wouldn't talk me up like that. I got a lot of pressure now.

Well, Sonya, we're so happy to have you here. And uh, we want to hear kind of what is a day in the life of Sonya like?

Video games. Video games, video games. Yeah. Yeah. No, I get up, I edit, do videos, make sure I have everything set, and then I uh, just jump on Twitch and pretty much just game, make really inappropriate jokes, and just play video games all day.

So you have this big following. Do you feel the pressure when you're playing your video game with all these people, all these eyes on your back to be an entertainer and a gamer?

Sometimes. I mean, I feel like I'm more of an entertainer than a gamer because I'm really not that good at the game. Um, but when I'm like doing really, really bad, I can feel the pressure of the chat just like weighing down because I don't even want to look at it because I know that they're just spamming the chat with like, "Oh, you suck, you suck, you suck." I'm like, I know, I know.

What's the game that like got you into gaming?

I actually started playing on DOS. Remember like DOS-based computers? Yeah. Like old school, like no operating system, like text-based, you know, super old school. Um, I played the original Duke Nukem and like Wolfenstein 3D and stuff like that. So that's what kind of kick-started my whole love for video games. And it kind of moved to N64 and just kind of blossomed from there.

The thing that you're playing right now is that zombie game, right?

I'm playing a little bit of that. Yeah. Mostly Overwatch.

Overwatch, huh?

Overwatch, yeah. Finally came out. Yes, Blizzard's new game and it was their first FPS and they just killed it. They're killing it with it. Yeah.

And so on Twitch, um what do you think it is that gave you such a big following? You're the number one female game caster in the world. That's that's like crazy incredible thing.

That's scary. I you know what? I try to make my community feel more like a family. I want them to have a place that they can come and like hang out and not be judged and just like feel at home. So I try to pick out, you know, names from the chat and I remember little things about them. And I kind of remember somebody's like, "Oh, I have an exam coming up in, you know, a couple days from now." I'll see them and be like, "Hey, how was that exam?" You know, I try to make them feel really at home and really welcome. That's what I've been doing for the last three years and it's just kind of blew up from there.

And now it's leading into you getting into acting, moving to Hollywood, all that, huh?

Well, it's funny because I just moved out of LA to Portland and now I'm looking at getting getting a place back down here because I miss it so much. So, yeah. I've been doing more hosting, more on-screen stuff and it's been interesting so far.

Well, it seems like you're thriving in it. And uh, I can't wait to get home and uh, get on Twitch and talk some garbage while I play you.

But eventually to me? In my chat?
