Why You Need to Be Watching Fox's "The Four"!

If you're ready for a new talent search competition for the next amazing music artist, then you need to watch "The Four"!

This new Fox show brings the average singing competition up to a whole new level. Programs like these are great at discovering talent and helping new artists hone their skills, and the judges can help guide them into their lane in the music industry. "The Four" does these things but also brings a new aspect that we've only gotten a small taste of. While other competition shows have an audition round, "The Four" gets down to the nitty gritty.

Let's break down the format of the show a little more.

The show starts with four pre-determined, talented artists who are known as The Four. Challengers then sing a song for the judges. It is then that the four judges must unanimously decide if the challenger is given a chance to battle against one of The Four. If a challenger is voted into the battle, they may pick one of The Four to sing against for their spot in The Four. The two contestants then each sing one song to show the audience why they deserve to be in The Four. The audience is then polled. If the Four member wins, they lock in their spot in The Four for the night and they move on to the next episode and have successfully defended their spot. If the challenger wins, they take the spot in The Four and send the loser back home.

The show is hosted by the beautiful and talented Fergie and the judging panel consists of Meghan Trainor, Charlie Walk, DJ Khaled, and the "Diddy" himself, Mr. Sean Combs. The winner will be advised, guided, and mentored by the judges to give the winner as much exposure and success as possible. According to the site, Fox has teamed up with iHeartMedia to give the winner a place in their "On The Verge" artist development program.

Let me tell you, the competition is pretty tough and we're only a few episodes into the season!

Check out one of my favorite performances from the first episode:

One contestant that you definitely need to watch out for is Zhavia:

The talent on the show is ridiculous!

Think You've got what it takes to get a spot in "The Four"? Well, you're in luck, because you can still audition to be on the show and sing for the judges. Who knows? We might see you on the stage really soon!
