The world of skin care has a new icon! If you haven’t yet, it is time for you to meet Hyram Yarbro.

If you’re like me, you’ve probably been changing some habits during quarantine. One of them being my skin care routine. So, as one does, I turned to YouTube and discovered Hyram. Running a YouTube channel for two years now, Hyram got his big break this year.

He has quickly gained subscribers in the course of the last few months. The 24-year-old, based in Honolulu, shares his opinions on well-known skin care brands and reacts to celebrity skin care routines. At the beginning of each video, he clarifies that he is a skin care specialist and not an expert. Therefore, if a viewer needs further assistance, he recommends seeking a dermatologist or esthetician. Hyram has also collaborated with other creators, including Karlie Kloss! Having over 3 million subscribers as of this writing, Hyram has made sure to establish himself on every social media platform, including TikTok.

Hyram joined TikTok, as many of us did, for the fun trends, but then he brought his love for skin care to the platform. Subsequently, products recommended by Hyram became sold out online and out of stock in many stores. It’s absolutely mind-blowing! With nearly 3 million followers, he duets videos of people sharing their skin care routines and reacts to them. His reactions are the best! The skin care junkie loves to praise the improvement users make as they update their routine. Meanwhile others love to tease him about small things he dislikes, such as using harsh exfoliants; it’s hilarious! Hyram loves to be involved with his subscribers, and he even dedicates an hour every Friday on YouTube to answer any skin care questions.

He will definitely remain on our radar and I am excited to see what other products he recommends next! It would be awesome to see him collaborate with a skin care brand; I know for sure many, including myself, would stock up on that.
