Trailer For KJ Apa's 'I Still Believe' Already Has Us Reaching For The Tissues!

Written by Maryssa Rillo. Published: September 11 2019

We all have those movies that make us bawl our eyes out every time we watch them. For example, The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, A Fault in Our Stars. It just never fails. But, question is, has a movie trailer ever made you cry? Well, if your answer is no, then when you watch the trailer for the movie, I Still Believe, get a box of tissues because you will need… the whole box.

Did you use the whole box of tissues? Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Wasn’t the trailer beautiful?! This movie looks AMAZING.

The movie is based on a true story, which always gets the tears going full force. The movie is about Jeremy Camp, who will be played by KJ Apa, and his wife Melissa Lynn Henning-Camp, who will be played by Britt Robertson. Jeremy Camp was a huge Christian music star whose wife battled, and later lost her life to, ovarian cancer. The movie is a biography that follows their journey together.

The movie will premiere in theaters on March 20, 2020, and will star other big names such as country music star Shania Twain, as well as Gary Sinise, Melissa Roxburgh, and Nathan Parsons.

I could honestly watch the trailer over, and over, and over again. It’s just so beautiful and the beginning already gets you all up in your feels. The movie combines hardship, fun, success, love, and the strength it takes to hold onto faith during rough times, all in one. It may just be a little too much for all of us to handle… in a good way. Those are my favorite love movies.

Ugh! The scene where Melissa is getting ready for her MRI and Jeremy is tickling her thigh before she goes in got me. Them laughing together before something so scary was not only a sad moment but a beautiful one. It seems like the couple really kept positive during such a hard time in their lives, which is something worth watching and learning from.

Also, when it seems like Jeremy’s faith is tested and he throws the Bible, I really lost it. Geez, the trailer seems to capture it all.

At least the trailer prepared us for the movie. Now we know to bring tissues to the theaters on March 20, 2020.
