14. “For Sure”

Track 12 brought you snapping noises, and in this one, Jepsen brings out the claps. This song is very different than previous songs on the album. It has a drumming sound that reminds me of the soundtrack of James Cameron’s movie Avatar and has very subtle jungle sounds layered underneath her vocals. The song is about the end of a relationship and wanting to know if her suspicions were correct. It is the most receptive song on the album with the least amount of lyrics.
