Written by Tashi Rios. Published: May 05 2023

After 8 years, we all said goodbye to "The Late Late Show with James Corden" last week when he officially wrapped his CBS series. Host James Corden announced in April 2022 that, a year from then, he would film his last episode. He explained that it was “time to go back home”, as in the U.K.

In honor of 8 years of hilarity, let’s dive into the best of the best moments from the show!

1. Carpool Karaoke

Carpool Karaokes are Corden’s most iconic segments on the show where drives his car to work and picks up celebrities to sing songs and make pit stops. The very first guest was Mariah Carey and they sang songs like “Always Be My Baby”, “Fantasy”, and “Thirsty”. One of the best episodes was the one with One Direction! The band even created a music video to their song “No Control”. In 2016, Corden invited both Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas, which made Twitter go crazy. The threesome sang songs from both artists like “Heart Attack”, “Close”, and “Stone Cold”. The last ever guest was Adele, where she surprised him and said she needed help driving to work. The two were emotional but the vocals were still on-point.

2. Crosswalk the Musical

This segment is where Corden hosts a theater company to perform a variety of different showtunes on the crosswalk in between 53rd Street and Broadway in New York City. To promote Beauty and the Beast Live, Josh Gad, Dan Stevens, and Luke Evans joined him to perform “Belle”, “Gaston”, “Be Our Guest”, and “Tale as Old as Time”. And yes, Corden wore a wig and Belle's iconic gold ballgown. Next, Naomi Scott, Mena Massoud, and Will Smith helped Corden when performing songs from Aladdin. Corden dressed up as the monkey Abu and even had a flying magic carpet. Another iconic Disney cast joined Corden -- the stars of Frozen 2, Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, Jonathon Groff, and the queen herself Idina Menzel. Corden had a sing off with Menzel to see who deserved to play Elsa.

3. Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts

This segment featured Corden and his guest asking each other a variety of different questions about themselves that are difficult and controversial. They either have to answer the question or eat something disgusting off the table in front of them, like bugs, different fluids, or organs. Some celebrities who have played are Justin Bieber, Kim Kardasian, Chrissy Teigen, Shawn Mendes, and even Gordon Ramsay.
