Our Favorite Disney Channel Music Videos of All Time!

Written by Rishi Patel. Published: December 06 2020

Disney Channel has produced an array of memorable and nostalgic TV shows and films throughout the years. Many of us grew up with a different version of Disney Channel, but it still represents fond childhood memories no matter which show you were most attached to.

Not only that, but Disney Channel had so many great songs performed by talented stars (many of who are still well-known today), especially in the memorable movies released by the network! Remember those music videos for High School Musical or The Cheetah Girls? Those were so lively and enjoyable!

It’s true that Disney Channel Original Movies have had some terrific music videos throughout the years, so we decided to come up with a short list of some of the more memorable ones! Of course, some music videos may not be included, as there are too many to choose from! Here they are:

1. “What Time Is It?” from High School Musical 2

This music video came out around the time many kids were getting out of school, so it was super relatable! It was upbeat and featured some great dancing in the hallways that otherwise doesn’t happen at other schools on the last day (at least to this extent). Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, and the rest of the HSM cast were stoked for the start of Summer and brought out all their enthusiasm in this video! Don’t you wish your class would have celebrated the end of school in this way?

2. “Get’cha Head In the Game” from High School Musical

This music video had an interesting combination as it was incorporating basketball and singing in one setting. Nevertheless, it was quite creative! Singing while practicing and trying to motivate your basketball squad is a different way to look at getting your head in the game!

3. “We’re All in This Together” from High School Musical

There’s no better type of music video than when everyone’s involved. This HSM song featured all the main characters dancing and having fun with each other and their classmates! Nothing better than seeing Zac Efron, Corbin Bleu, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, and the rest of the HSM crew jamming out in the school gym!

4. “Play My Music” from Camp Rock

The Jonas Brothers were still getting started when this video came out as part of the film Camp Rock in 2008, but boy, did they jam out! It seems the fellow campers and many viewers enjoyed the upbeat song performed by the Bros. And as many of you know, it was just the beginning of a successful music career for Kevin, Nick, and Joe.

5. “We Rock” from Camp Rock

This song was memorable in the sense that it was performed at the Final Jam competition in the film Camp Rock and it featured the entire main cast taking part in singing and dancing in it. Therefore, it’s like HSM’s “We’re All in This Together”. With the Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato, and Alyson Stoner taking part in this video, there was no shortage of well-known names!

6. “Push It to the Limit” from Jump In!

Jump In! is one of the lesser known Disney Channel Original Movies, but it still featured this great song, and the video was quite adrenaline-pumping. Corbin Bleu was known for epic dance moves throughout his Disney tenure, and there was no shortage of that here! In addition, this is as close to a motivational song as Disney Channel has come up with.

7. “Strut” from Cheetah Girls 2

Like HSM, The Cheetah Girls was a popular Disney Channel film series. This video depicted all 4 Cheetah Girls (Raven-Symoné, Kiely Williams, Sabrina Bryan, and Adrienne Bailon) as they took viewers on a journey throughout the vibrant city of Barcelona and they made their way around town and interacted with various people!

8. “One World” from Cheetah Girls: One World

The last installment of The Cheetah Girls franchise came out in 2008 and featured them traveling to India. This video takes place on a gorgeous property and it was very colorful and energetic!

9. “Rotten to the Core” from Descendants 2

The Descendants film series had many memorable music videos, but “Rotten to the Core” was a notable one. In fact, it has an astounding 395 million views on YouTube as of this writing! The vibe of the video gives it an edge and it’s not typical of Disney Channel music videos, so it certainly stood out.

10. “Surf’s Up” from Teen Beach Movie

This music video gives off great Summertime vibes as it shows Ross Lynch, Maia Mitchell, and more friends jamming out on the beach through singing, dancing, and having fun! What could be better than being immersed in a tropical paradise with the only goal being to have fun?
