ICYMI: Ryan Murphy Is Coming To Netflix With a Star-Studded New Show, "The Politician"!

Netflix recently released the trailer for "The Politician", Ryan Murphy’s first series with the streaming giant, and it looks like we’re in for a wild ride. We all know Murphy is one of the very best at pushing the limits and breaking barriers in the television industry -- he’s the mastermind behind "American Horror Story", "Pose", and "Glee" -- and this newest show looks to be no different.

Helmed by Ben Platt (Pitch Perfect, Dear Evan Hansen), "The Politician" is yet another anthology series, with each season focusing on a different political race. Season 1 will see Platt’s Payton Hobart on a mission to win the title of student body president, no matter the cost.

Payton isn’t the most moral of characters -- he’s cold and calculated and ready to do whatever it takes to get what he wants. Along the way, he sucks Zoey Deutch’s Infinity Jackson, a young woman with cancer, into his campaign, and soon enough there’s a whole cast of characters with dangerous secrets to keep. The casting is truly unbelievable. Joining Platt is Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Lange, and Lucy Boynton, just to name a few. Seriously, what did we do to deserve this?

"The Politician" premieres on September 27, and with Payton’s ultimate goal is to get to the Oval Office, how many seasons it will take for him to get there is anyone’s guess… What do you think?!
