ICYMI: Everything You Need To Know About The CW's Epic "Crisis of Infinite Earths" Crossover Event!

Written by Rishi Patel. Published: November 30 2019

Arrowverse fans, brace yourselves for the biggest crossover event to date!

The 6th Arrowverse crossover event, “Crisis on Infinite Earths”, is slated to begin airing in roughly a week on The CW over the course of 5 epic episodes! This will succeed the “Elseworlds” crossover event that aired last year.

The featured TV series in the event includes “Supergirl” in Part 1, “Batwoman” in Part 2, “The Flash” in Part 3, “Arrow” in Part 4, and “Legends of Tomorrow” in Part 5.

The event is based on the DC Comics edition which centered around the Anti-Monitor wreaking havoc on the Multiverse, resulting in many heroes/villains from the DC Universe teaming up to take down the anti-hero.

Here’s a sneak peek at the trailer for the TV version:

After that thrilling trailer, you may be wondering when exactly all the action will begin!

Well, Part 1 airs very soon on December 8. Part 2 will follow on December 9, and Part 3 will then air on December 10. Unfortunately, there will be a one-month hiatus before the remaining 2 parts air. Parts 4 and 5 will premiere after we ring in the new year, on January 14.

All your favorite Arrowverse characters will be featured at some point in the event, including Kara Danvers/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), Kate Kane/Batwoman (Ruby Rose), Barry Allen/Flash (Grant Gustin), Oliver Queen/Green Arrow (Stephen Amell), and Ray Palmer/Atom (Brandon Routh, who will be donning the red & blue spandex again for the first time since 2006's Superman Returns)! In addition, there will be special guest stars from current and former CW series, including “Birds of Prey”, “Black Lightning”, and “Smallville”! This includes Black Lightning (Cress Williams), Huntress (Ashley Scott), Clark Kent (Tom Welling), and Lois Lane (Erica Durance).

Filmmaker and comics lover Kevin Smith will be appearing in 2 episodes of “Crisis Aftermath”, an after-show meant to break down and analyze the crossover event. They are scheduled to air immediately after the “Supergirl” and “The Flash” episodes on December 8 and 10, respectively.

Let’s hope the multi-part event will live up to all the hype!
