ICYMI: Chrissy’s Going To Court!

Move over, Judge Judy -- Chrissy Teigen will be presiding over her very own courtroom in the new show coming to Quibi called “Chrissy’s Court”!

Chrissy will tackle real small-claims cases in her court, along with her mother, Vilailuck “Pepper Thai” Teigen, who will serve as the bailiff. Whoever came up with this show is a certified genius. And even better, the parties on either side must agree to abide by Chrissy’s verdicts – no matter what they are.

Chrissy is quite the hot commodity lately; she already has “Lip Sync Battle” on the air, is currently developing a set of food shows for Hulu, and will be a resident judge on NBC’s upcoming comedy competition “Bring the Funny”, premiering this summer. But I have no doubt the real breakout star of “Chrissy’s Court” will be Pepper Thai, and I for one can’t wait to go along for the ride. Does anyone want to go to court against me?

Quibi, if you’re wondering, is a new short-form video platform set to launch in Spring 2020 that will also be home to shows from Jennifer Lopez, Lena Waithe, Guillermo del Toro, and Scooter Braun. Shows will be broken down into short 10-minute chapters, perfect for watching on your phone and on the go. With a line up like that, I think having to wait until 2020 might just be worth it.
