Hulu & Zoe Kravitz Bringing a New Spin on Cult Fave "High Fidelity"!
Written by Kevin Norman. Published: January 27 2020
There is something about Zoe Kravitz that is
so alluring to me.
Maybe it’s the tattoos, who her parents are, or perhaps it’s
merely because she is so beautiful and talented. Whatever the
reason, I can’t keep my eyes off of her since I first saw her act
in "Big Little Lies" on HBO, and now, she is tackling television
again in a reimagining of Nick Hornby’s
book, High Fidelity.
High Fidelity tells the story of a struggling
record store owner named Rob (Kravitz) who is grappling with a
breakup. To help better understand herself and her heart, she goes
on a journey to reconnect with her five most memorable heartbreaks.
The best part is that her love interests aren’t all men, making
Kravitz a sexually fluid woman of color leading the charge. The
series is also a remake of sorts of another film adaptation by the
same name starring John Cusack and featuring Kravitz's mom, Lisa Bonet.
I don’t know about you, but trying to reconnect with my exes
to discuss what went wrong doesn’t sound like a fun time, but
watching someone else do it, well, you can count me in. So if you
don’t have a boo this Valentine's day, or even if you do, you can
curl up with Hulu and Kravitz and stream this brand new
series!
And if television isn’t your thing, you can go ahead and read
the book. Honestly, I would probably do both.
