Meet Honne, an electronic group out of London made up of lead singer Andy Clutterbuck and James Hatcher.

We first stumbled upon the duo and their song “Treat You Right” (which still remains our all-time favorite) unexpectedly, but even more pleasantly on a day of shuffling through a very frequent "Hot Music" playlist on Apple Music.

It was the type of day where every single song that plays on your already downloaded music library of a thousand-plus songs that don’t stand a chance to be played all the way through.

This is what led us to Honne. And from then on, we craved more of the lively, dynamic, and emotion-filled sounds that speak directly to whoever listens. They’re the type of musicians who truly love the art of music. You can feel it almost instantly.

So it was no surprise to us when we found out Honne writes, records, and produces their own music.

The pair even launched their own label, Tatemae Records, in 2015. It all started with two EPs in 2014, followed by a third EP the following year, which was the first to be released through Tatemae Records.

Their debut studio album, Warm on a Cold Night, came in 2016, which gifted us a few more of our most cherished Honne tracks (“FHKD”, “The Night”, and “Someone That Loves You”), and finally their sophomore album, Love Me/Love Me Not, two years later in 2018.

What we love most about Honne? We never get the same song from them. But what we do consistently get is two insanely creative, passionate, and innovative artists who are committed to creating music full of powerful sounds that make you feel something even when they don’t say a single thing.

Keep making music for all the true music lovers out there, Honne! We'll definitely keep listening.
