Zac Efron: 'My family has been my rock'
Actor Zac Efron has turned to his family for support as he continues to recover from alleged addiction issues, insisting they have been his "rock".
The High School Musical star hit headlines last month (Sep13) amid reports he had checked into a rehabilitation center earlier this year (13) to seek help for substance abuse problems.
Efron has yet to directly address the claims, but recently reached
out to fans online to thank them for their support and revealed he
had trekked to the ancient site of Machu Picchu in Peru with his
father for a little retreat.
Now the 25 year old has opened up about his close family bond,
admitting he has been leaning on his sibling, Dylan, to keep his
ego in check.
During a California press conference for his new film, That Awkward
Moment, on Tuesday (15Oct13), he said, "My family's my rock. I know
they're not going anywhere. More and more I've come to rely on my
little brother to keep me grounded. He's 21 now... I know my
family's always going to be there."
