X-Men stars evacuated from hotel as fire breaks out

The castmembers of the new X-Men movie had to flee a Montreal, Canada hotel early on Saturday (04May13) when they were awoken by a fire alarm.

Reports suggest Patrick Stewart, Adan Canto and Daniel Cudmore and others had only just returned to the hotel after shooting nearby until 4am when they were evacuated as firefighters arrived to put out a small blaze.

Patrick Stewart documented the incident on Twitter.com, writing, "Nothing like an early start to the weekend - though not when your hotel is on fire."

He added, "all mutant super heroes safe. Thank you Montreal Fire Brigade."

Co-star Booboo Stewart also assured fans he was OK after the drama, tweeting, "Super Heroes having to be saved by real heroes, thanks fireman (sic)."
