Winston Marshall taking comedy lessons

Written by . Published: April 12 2015

Mumford & Sons star Winston Marshall has been taking comedy classes at the famous Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) theatre in New York.

The rocker has revealed that since moving to the city in 2013, he has been inspired by the Big Apple's comedy scene and has been enjoying lessons in improv.

Marshall has been attending classes at the UCB, which is known for helping launch the careers of comedy actors such as Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, and he has even performed a monologue.

Banjo player Marshall tells Vulture.com he is now hoping for a similar theatre and training centre in the U.K., saying, "I want to bring UCB to England. We don't have anything like it."
