will.i.am's nerves at Apple meeting
Rapper will.i.am has revealed the scariest moment of his career - pitching his idea for a phone accessories range to bosses at tech giant Apple.
The Black Eyed Peas star has performed in sold-out arenas, taken part in the high-profile celebrations for Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee earlier this year (12), and was a star turn at President Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009.
But despite overcoming stage fright on numerous big occasions, the
I Gotta Feeling hitmaker admits he has never been more nervous than
when he was called to a meeting with Apple bosses to discuss his
new business proposal.
He tells British magazine ST, "I hadn't had 'cotton mouth' for
ever. I have performed at the Queen's Jubilee, Obama's
inauguration, the Super Bowl, World Cup, all of it, and not been
nervous. At my Apple meeting, I felt like I had just swallowed a
desert."
The rapper is launching a new range of accessories for Apple's
iPhone, dubbed i.am+, which will include a camera-enhancing
gadget.
