will.i.am hires private investigator after car burglary
Rapper will.i.am is close to discovering the culprits responsible for stealing his beloved sports car after hiring private investigators to track them down.
The Black Eyed Peas star's white, custom-made supercar disappeared on 14 August (12) from the parking lot at The Avalon Club in Los Angeles, where he held his album launch party, and he pleaded with fans on Twitter.com in a bid to get it back.
He refused to contact police about the incident and instead decided
to enlist Ryan Friedlinghaus of West Coast Customs, the garage
which helped customise the vehicle, to locate the car.
They managed to find the missing wheels thanks to the use of a
tracking device fitted to the vehicle, and will.i.am was reunited
with the ride three days later (17Aug12).
However, the rapper still had no idea who was to blame for
illegally taking the car and he hired professional detectives to
look into the matter - and they have almost cracked the case.
In a Twitter.com post on Thursday (23Aug12), will.i.am writes, "The
private investigators I hired are close on (sic) finding out who
was responsible for my car being stolen.I have my car but items
were taken."
