will.i.am delays album after song leaks
Rapper will.i.am has been forced to delay the release of his latest album after music stolen from his car was leaked online.
The Black Eyed Peas frontman was left fuming in August (12) when thieves made off with his sportscar, which contained several rough demos.
The vehicle was eventually returned to him, but the music files he
had stored in the car were missing and have since emerged on the
internet - so the hip-hop star has decided to postpone the October
(12) drop date of upcoming album #willpower so he can write new
tracks for fans.
will.i.am took to his Twitter.com page on Tuesday (18Sep12) to
announce the news to followers and to vent his frustration.
In a series of posts, he writes, "I'm trying to finish
#willpower... & now because of all the leaks I have push (sic) the
album back to make new songs... When songs are incomplete and your
valuables were stolen and people leak your unfinished material... I
have a right to vent. My car was stolen & my bag with my hard drive
& music was in it... my car was found, but my bag wasn't & now
they're leaking songs."
