Whitney Houston Grammys drama caught on film

A 26-minute film about this year's Grammy Awards and the death of Whitney Houston is to premiere later this month (Jun12) in Los Angeles.

A Death in the Family: The Show Must Go On chronicles what went on behind the scenes as organizers of music's big night attempted to re-organize the show after learning of Houston's death 24 hours before the event was set to start.

The documentary is the first behind-the-scenes film on the Grammy Awards ever created by the Recording Academy.

Grammy organizer Ken Ehrlich tells Billboard.com, "There was greater interest than normal because of the circumstances, but an awful lot of people want to know about the process."

The short film, which will feature interviews with Bruce Springsteen and Jennifer Hudson - who stepped in at the last minute to perform a tribute to Houston, will debut at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in North Hollywood on 11 June.

Foo Fighters star Dave Grohl and 2012 Grammy Awards host LL Cool J will be among those speaking after the screening.
