Victoria Beckham up for top fashion award

Pop star-turned-fashion mogul Victoria Beckham is among three designers nominated for a top honour at the British Fashion Awards.

The trophies will be given out by officials of the British Fashion Council at the awards ceremony in London on 23 November (15), and Beckham, Christopher Kane, and J.W. Anderson are up for Womenswear Designer prize.

The award is the most prestigious to be given out at the event, and previous winners including design icons John Galliano, Dame Vivienne Westwood, Stella McCartney, and the late Alexander McQueen.

Mick Jagger's daughter Georgia May Jagger has been nominated for the Model accolade, while McCartney is up for the top Brand award.

Beckham, who launched her eponymous fashion line in 2008, scooped the Designer Brand of the Year award in 2011 and 2014.
