Vanessa Hudgens launches lifestyle website

Vanessa Hudgens has become the latest celebrity to launch her own lifestyle website.

The former High School Musical star is joining the ranks of actresses such as her co-star Ashley Tisdale, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Shay Mitchell, who have all founded popular blogs.

Launched on Thursday (17Dec15), Vanessa's site, Astral & Opal, focuses on topics including beauty, music, fashion, and health.

"I love surfing the web but nothing ever stuck with me," editor-in-chief Vanessa wrote in her first letter posted to the site. "So, I thought it was time to create the site I needed in my life. As for me, I believe that life is as you make it. I want to feel good, look good and live a colorful life full of adventure. You are in the drivers seat, on an open road and only get one lifetime to make it count. We gotta live it to the fullest!

"I hope Astral & Opal guides you to inspiration, passion, wisdom and makes your world a little more colorful. Enjoy!"

Vanessa's launch comes nearly three months after Gossip Girl star Blake Lively shut down her own lifestyle website, Preserve, after one year, confessing it did not fufill the potential she hoped it would.
