Tyrese Gibson flirted his way to Charlize Theron's digits

Charlize Theron gave Tyrese Gibson her cell phone number after he worked his magic on her when they shot Fast 8.

The 40-year-old actress stars as the villain in the upcoming eighth instalment in the Fast and Furious franchise. Tyrese will be reprising his role as Roman Pearce for the next film, and took full advantage of acting alongside the blonde beauty.

"I got Charlize's cell phone number. I was flirting with her a little bit," he told E! News. "I got the cell phone number. We're trying to get the kids together, have a little fun... She's sweet."

Charlize is mother to adopted children Jackson, four, and nine-month-old August. Meanwhile, Tyrese has an eight-year-old daughter Shayla, of whom he shares custody with his ex-wife Norma.

The actor recently sparked rumours of a romance with his Baby Boy co-star Taraji P. Henson, who he has been close friends with since they starred in the movie together in 2001. However, he told Essence magazine that Taraji doesn't have what he's looking for in a potential partner.

"I mean I do love her and I do know her, but she's got a very big personality and I do too," he said. "And I feel like when you get in a relationship, you can cancel each other out. And it has nothing to do with her success versus mine...she's a Virgo, she's loud, she's aggressive. And I'm big, and I'm aggressive and I need a woman that's got a soft voice, and her voice doesn't even go above a certain octave."

Charlize has been single since splitting from Sean Penn last year (15).

Her upcoming role in Fast 8 will see her further explore her villainous side, and Tyrese promises fans they will be wowed by her performance in the motoring thriller.

"I can tell you Charlize really came into this thing and set the tone for all of us. I often like to think of us as a franchise team and you get a new player to come in and they're killing it and we like, we got to step," Tyrese told E! News. "Charlize really elevated us on an inspiration level."
