Gwen Stefani tickets slashed to '$10' ahead of tour start
Ticket prices for Gwen Stefani's comeback tour were slashed to just $10 over the 4 July (16) weekend.
Gwen's This Is What the Truth Feels Like tour, to support her successful comeback album, kicks off on 12 July (16).
Tickets for the tour were originally on sale for $80 each, but on
Friday (01Jul16), a video of the star posted on concert promoters
Live Nation's Instagram announced that fans could buy four tickets
for just $40.
"NOW until July 4th get 4 tickets for $40 to the
#ThisIsWhatTheTruthFeelsLikeTour at #LiveNation.com (link in bio),"
the accompanying text read.
Several news outlets have claimed tickets to the singer's tour are
not selling, and the discounts have been offered to fill seats.
Gwen, 46, last toured in 2007, when her Sweet Escape tour grossed
$30,511,669 for its 55 shows - with 53 shows completely selling
out, according to Billboard.com.
Her new 27-date concert starts in Mansfield, Massachusetts, with a
stop at New York's Jones Beach Theater on 21 July. It's the
singer's first tour in support of the solo album she released in
March, which features her 2015 single Used To Love You.
The album was inspired by her break-up and subsequent divorce from
musician husband Gavin Rossdale, with whom she has three sons.
She's now dating country singer and her fellow The Voice judge
Blake Shelton.
Gwen will be supported by Let Me Blow Your Mind rapper Eve on her
tour.
