Trey Songz sues former landlord
R&B star Trey Songz has launched legal action against his former landlord over his missing security deposit.
The Bottoms Up hitmaker had been renting a $22,000-a-month mansion in Malibu, California from 2014, but he moved out earlier this year (16).
Trey had been expecting his landlord to hand back the $44,000
deposit he had been required to put down at the start of his
tenancy, but the cheque never arrived, prompting the singer to file
suit to get his money back.
However, the property owner is fighting back, claiming Songz left
the place with $92,750 in damages, and therefore isn't entitled to
the return of his funds, reports TMZ.com.
Sources claim the pad sustained multiple broken tiles, torn felt on
a pool table, pet odours on carpets, and damage to the movie
theatre and bowling alley.
Songz, 31, has yet to respond to the allegations.
