Tom Hiddleston new face of Gucci

Actor Tom Hiddleston has been named the face of Gucci's new ad campaign.

The Thor star, 35, appears in the fashion house's cruise 2017 tailoring campaign, which was photographed by Glen Luchford in a mansion owned by late American artist Tony Duquette.

Sporting suits in a variety of colors for the sharp-dressed shots, Tom follows in the footsteps of fellow celebrities including Vanessa Redgrave and Jared Leto, who have recently become Gucci style ambassadors.

Hiddleston hit the headlines for his fashion choices earlier this year (16), when he was photographed wearing a "I heart T.S." T-shirt, which referenced his relationship with singer Taylor Swift. The couple confirmed its romance shortly after Taylor ended her relationship with Calvin Harris, but the love affair came to an end earlier this month (Sep16).

"Taylor was the one to put the brakes on the relationship," a source told Us Weekly magazine recently. "Tom wanted the relationship to be more public than she was comfortable with. Taylor knew the backlash that comes with public displays of affection but Tom didn't listen to her concerns when she brought them up."

Meanwhile, Taylor has been enjoying her new single status and attended model Liberty Ross' birthday party in Malibu on Saturday night (24Sep16).

According to Us Weekly, Taylor spent a lot of her time with Gwyneth Paltrow, and was in good spirits the entire night.

"Gwyneth was dancing with Taylor and hanging out with her a lot," the insider told the publication. "They seemed like good friends. Taylor was in an amazing mood and very social."

Another source revealed, "Taylor was also busting moves with Mary J. Blige on the dance floor for a while... Mary J. ruled the dance floor. She was dancing up a storm with everyone all night."
