Tom Cruise loses TV egg roulette contest

Tom Cruise was left with egg on his face - literally - during an appearance on chat show Late Night With Jimmy Fallon on Friday (12Apr13) when he lost a tense game of egg roulette.

The movie star and Jimmy Fallon sat across a small table from each other and took it in turns to smash eggs from a carton on their heads.

Eight of the 12 eggs were hard-boiled and four were raw.

It was not Tom Cruise's lucky night as the first two he selected were raw and left him with yolk and goo dripping down his face before he was eliminated from the contest.

The actor was on the show to promote his new sci-fi film Oblivion.
