The Weeknd teases Marvel collaboration for New York Comic Con
R&B star The Weeknd has teased a potential collaboration with Marvel bosses at the 2017 New York Comic Con event.
The Can't Feel My Face hitmaker took to social media on Saturday (30Sep17) to share an illustration of a pair of eyes against a red background, drawn in the style of a comic book.
"Comic-Con New York || October 7th @Marvel," he captioned the post, suggesting all would be revealed at next weekend's (06-08Oct17) convention.
He also uploaded footage of the trademark Marvel Studios introduction sequence, which included the eye artwork, on his Instagram Story function.
The Weeknd, who has made no secret of his love for Marvel Comics, later uploaded a selfie, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with a white cap bearing the red Marvel logo, which he circled and drew a star next to.
Beside the photo, he added a pair of emoji eyes and the hashtags, "#theweeknd #marvel".
The singer is currently on the road for his Starboy: Legend of the Fall Tour, but doesn't have a show scheduled for 7 October (17). He does, however, perform in Portland, Oregon on Friday (06Oct17) and Oakland, California on Sunday (08Oct17).
