The Wanted delivering two new albums in 2013
The Wanted are set to serve up a double helping for fans in 2013 by releasing two new albums.
The Glad You Came hitmakers enjoyed a stellar 2012 after breaking into the Billboard charts, but decided against releasing their third record so they could allow themselves time to perfect their new music.
To make up for stalling the release, they have now promised their
followers two records over the next 12 months.
Singer Jay McGuiness says, "We actually held off on (last) year's
album, which the record label were kind of upset about, but the
quality wasn't there. We wanted it to be good, not just release
it.
"So we kept on writing this whole year (2012) and never released
anything, apart from a few singles. And we just found now we have
quite a lot of material and we've got more writing to come.
"We just said to the fans, 'You've waited a long time for another
album, so just so you know, there's a chance there's two this
year.'"
The group's third album, Third Strike, is due to hit shelves in
March (13).
