Taylor Swift shuts down tabloid rumors about her love life
Singer Taylor Swift has shut down ongoing rumors about her love life, insisting she didn't purchase a home next to her ex Conor Kennedy or buy Harry Styles Beatles memorabilia for Christmas (12).
The Love Story hitmaker was thought to have shelled out $4.5 million for an oceanside estate in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts last summer (12) so she could be closer to the 18-year-old son of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
However, Swift jokes that's simply not the case, telling Spanish TV
show El Hormiguero, "People say that I'm buying houses all the time
that I'm not buying. It's like every time the press thinks I like a
guy, they say I am buying a house next to them."
The media struck again just before the holidays, with reports
suggesting the country star was shopping for autographed Fab Four
items for her then-boyfriend Styles of One Direction, but the
tabloids were all mistaken.
Swift continues, "And also they think they know what I'm getting
people for Christmas, which they don't. I was thinking when I saw
that one (rumor) that if they actually got it right I would be so
sad because they would have blown my Christmas present, but they
were all wrong."
