Stars disappointed by boxing result

Celebrity fight fans have lashed out at boxing officials following the controversial split decision which ended Manny Pacquiao's winning streak on Saturday night (09Jun12) in Las Vegas, insisting the big event was clearly "rigged".

Josh Duhamel, Miley Cyrus and Ashlee Simpson were among those who took to Twitter.com after Timothy Bradley was declared the winner - even though Pacquaio landed more punches than the contender in 10 of the 12 rounds and, in most people's eyes, was the clear winner of the welterweight fight - to vent their disgust.

Simpson wrote, "#shameonboxing. I think I will stick to... (reality TV show) so you think you can dance."

And fight fan Cyrus added, "This just proves that everything boils down to politics. ugh. why cant people just fight fair?! let the WINNERS win!"

Transformers star Duhamel was just as disgusted, tweeting, "Yet ANOTHER reason why boxing sucks. #RIGGED."
